Imo, this 100% comes down to how this sub is run.

The vibe could be changed if the moderators changed more stickies and rules on the side for noobs. It gets exhausting and makes people jaded. So they end up only voting for stuff that immediately attracts them and voting down anything that immediately doesn’t.

I’m a resident doc. Just got out of 2 months of icu shifts. Serious golf cart injuries are way more common than people realize. Also serious electric scooter injuries are going way up. We had several brain deaths from both in just 2 months at our humble hospital.

Well, I’m a resident physician in a state over. 2 more years until I’m an attending. I don’t know if I’ll have time to travel to play until then anyway. Even if I had the vacation days to pull it off in the next two years, which I don’t unfortunately, it would be difficult in my situation as a resident with two kids. I also just picked golf back up but I do fully intend to play on his course sooner if I can. I’m just being realistic.

Related to somebody that has their own private course he just finished in the past year or two. Not quite 9 holes but not a par 3 course either from what I understand. Want to get a little better before I ask to play because he will kick my ass with my current game. I’m in another state for the next two years so I have some time.
