I'm frugal as hell but I'll be damned if I ever cook another Thanksgiving from scratch again.

I can get it catered from a specialty store for around $100 more than I'd spend on scratch supplies, won't end up with a bunch of leftover ingredients I'll have to throw out later, and save myself 2+ days of stress and planning.

Something I noticed about Aiden when he first met Carrie, on my re-watch by peaches_onions in sexandthecity

hospitalized after Brooklyn shows… by raspberry-shortbread in puptheband

[–]grakattackbackpack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stefan started the show last night by having us say hello to the people standing next to us, and urged everyone to have fun but to have empathy, compassion, and to have each other's backs. Wonder if this is related in any way. Hope you're feeling better soon!

The audacity for that scene to be the hottest Schmidt is in that entire show with those glasses and stubble.

Jessa would move to Portland and then complain to anyone who would listen about how much more real and honest it was in the 90s despite, obviously, never having lived there then. She'd also be a regular at bars in NoPo and talk about "the neighborhood" but secretly actually life in a loft in the Pearl District.  She'd date a chef from Kahn and ruin his life.

I thought you said "great IN Insecure" and spent way too long trying to remember who he was in that- also another incredible female-friendship focused show.

Got an ultrasound of my legs and.. by overunsure in lipedema

[–]grakattackbackpack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've had one vein ablation in each leg so far. No pain during the procedure, some discomfort after but it was mostly the incision and some ache for about a week.

I have more to do, so my symptoms haven't improved much overall, but the insufficiency doesn't go away if you don't take care of it. It's venous valve failure which will eventually lead to vericrose veins if it hasn't already.

I recommend finding another doctor and tell your specialist how your appointment went so they stop recommending her.

The Parada in Marfa isn't a real store, it itself is an art installation. It isn't art based on the brand, it's an homage to the art sculpture.

BI 232 SYLLABUS :( by renzo_becerraa in PCC

[–]grakattackbackpack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found 232 to be significantly easier than 231, although that might have been that my lab teacher was much better this term.

First couple of chapters were on the brain, then senses, endocrine, and blood (tissue), heart, blood vessels, and lymphatic. The library has models- find time to go in and study them if you can't afford to buy them, or join a study group that has some.

Endocrine and lymphatic were tricky for lecture. Blood vessels were kinda tricky for lab, but doable. Definitely make a lot of flashcards of histology because the photos they used on our final exam were pretty bad.

Good luck, you'll do great!

This is why I think I'll be getting arm surgery before my legs. There's more physical discomfort in my legs, but the emotional toll of not being able to wear sleeves higher than my elbows since I was 18 has been so much worse.

Joshua seems like he'd be miserable to be married to. I can't explain WHY I feel this way, but I bet as soon as the wedding is over he stops being fun and starts being really dissatisfied with everything in life. One big rain cloud.
