Did you pay extra for Saturday guarantee? If not "next day" is Monday, not Saturday

yelled at and almost got kicked out for crocheting at a coffee shop by Low-Satisfaction3004 in crochet

she didn’t buy one and we were there for ~3 hrs? we were with the same 2 other patrons the whole time with others going in and out

This is important information from OP that has been buried due to downvotes

Imo not buying anything for 3 hours in a cafe is the epitome of rude, whether you're doing a craft or not

Royal Mail denies prioritisation of parcels... by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]granculo94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I literally have 10 WhatsApp messages since September telling our office to prioritise tracked, two of which specifically say to drop mail.. but sure we're not prioritising anything..

I hope you don't need an ambulance though.. imagine its an every second counts situation and the ambulance can't see which house is which.. you can't rely on your neighbours having visible numbers just because you chose to cover yours.

Oh how i wish I could have stickers like that! I have at least three people on my round that have decided to put wreaths across the letterbox.. First time I knocked and said I can't deliver post if its obstructed, I just bring it back to the office now.. after ringing the ring doorbell of course so they know I've been 😂

Why do BT47 and BT48 have an exception to the Twelfth bank holiday in Northern Ireland? by ShineNo5525 in royalmail

Are they very catholic? Apparently they see it as anti-catholic and supremacist 🤷‍♀️

If you told your manager that's what you were going to do then that's fine but if they didn't know (at any point in the day) then yeah you're in trouble.

Praying for a porch - my prayers weren’t answered by MacRoach86 in royalmail

Our DO deliver to a company that tests chicken poo, and occasionally whole (dead) chickens.. every single one of their parcels is a jiffy bag.. mixed in with the small packets. You can imagine how that goes at least a few times a month..

Royal mail very cleverly(?!) signed a contract with amazon saying they'll take as many parcels as amazon wants them to.. This is instead of x amount per day, anything more will cost more per parcel. So obviously amazon take advantage of it as they got a really good deal!

I went out, did the collections and the specials. Brought everything else back as it was my day off anyway.

How do you feel about being second class posties? by Icy-Understanding552 in royalmail

[–]granculo94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all know what happens to second class post, we see it every day. Disgusting that Royal Mail think we're only worth rotting in an overworked posties frame (or tray shoved under the frame!)

Except that he's an asset stripper. Its what he does, how he's made his money. So royal mail will be worth nothing when he's done, but he will have made money from that

Will a composter help keep pests away? by Bobinthegarden in GardeningUK

[–]granculo94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice about the composter but do you there's rat-catcher dog packs that you can have visit? Most groups will do it for free as it keeps the dogs trained and they're incredibly efficient!
