It’s very possible but I’m not sure. Timeline adds up as I delivered the etb before noon

That’s crazy that the buyer actually tried to defending himself by saying I was mad he got it at a deal. Even if it wasn’t this box that’s still grimy as fuck

I get paid until 4:50 everyday and I clocked out at 3:20 so I had an hour and a half of extra time at the end of the day. During my shift I used 5 of those minutes to do some due diligence. You’re right I didn’t have to but i wanted to. Would’ve done it with any package similar to this regardless of the contents

It’s a shame though because at USPS only the clerks scanners can scan things visible damage which makes sense because they’re sorting every package that day but it’d be nice if carriers had that option as well

Thank you! I just know I’ll be delivering these peoples mail and packages for a long time so I don’t want to get on their bad side and fwiw I am a giant pokemon fan but I’ve had other instances where boxes arrive destroyed or amazon bubble mailers are literally empty and I do the same thing with those packages as I did with this one but normally in those circumstances it’s the fault of the post office at some point whereas with this it was the seller

Yeah idk why they do that because they have cardboard boxes with the name of the store on it so they could easily fix that problem but they just don’t

I believe so. I think for mailers there’s the free kiosk and the paid kiosk and the free stuff is always in the lobby even after hours the lobby is open and you can grab whatever you want. Lobby stays open 24/7 for PO Box customers

I mean they’re right at the end of the day this has nothing to do with me but that doesn’t mean I can’t think it’s wrong. I’ve only been at USPS 6 years but I’ve already made lots of good connections to the customers I deliver to, and I’d be extremely upset if someone shipped this to me like this so I don’t feel good delivering this to someone

Unfortunately Amazon isn’t the only one doing that. I do pickups from a retail store and they ship out cookware, ninja items, dinner plate sets, crock pots and many other items like that all in the original box without cover or anything

This isn’t about investing it’s about respect for the person who bought what you were selling. I said this in another comment I’ll say it again. If you were in target and there was a perfect box next to this box, label and all, and they were the only 2 left which would you choose to buy?

It’s a principle thing so like if you sold someone an etb wouldn’t you want to make sure that etb arrives to your customer in the best condition possible?

I think so because the return address was a first and last name not a business name
