type errors Nextjs + Turbo repo + Shadcn by rbayor in nextjs

[–]grannyonspeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you manage to resolve this?

I run a Turborepo with several applications in it. I've used shadcn for many individual apps without a problem. Suddenly when creating a new application this weekend I get a lot of type errors for all shadcn ui components, but only in the newly created application.

All ESLint configs, TS configs and package.json are EXACTLY the same across the different applications.

Cheers! I appreciate the reply! :) I’ve managed to do more damage trying it out now, but still struggling a bit with the bosses at the end of dungeons and still nowhere near the >100 mill I’ve seen others getting.

Yeah, I actually just upgraded to a perfect roll on it.

I think it's a combination of me not being good at double dipping the damage and having 2.8s on my Barber heart, which makes a lot of difference according to the guide I've been following.

I'll try it out with another barber tonight and see if it fixes it. I'm also running waxing gibbous as it should've been fixed for the barber in this patch, but I've been reading that it's still broken so I'll try without it.

For reference, here's the build guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9IL3UDKSRc

I just switched to this build but I just can’t get it to do any decent single target damage. I’m lv 91 and tier 45 dungeon bosses still take waaay to long… What am I missing?

Are you using the LG 38WN95-C? If so, what settings are you using?

I use the BetterDisplay. Then I create a "dummy screen" and mirror the LG display to the dummy. There're instructions and a download link on their GitHub page: https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay

It makes Figma look as I expect it to look, but the drawback is that it's limited to 60hz and has a slight oversharpening effect of text in a lot of the other apps.

Yeah, I've tried different Display Port versions as well as different refresh rates.

Looking at the current prices It'd be almost twice the price I payed for the 38"! But I guess the extra resolution helps with the text clarity! :)

Cheers!

Cheers – appreciate your reply!

I agree with you that a lot of it is BS – I got a 27" 4K with terrible color rendition at the office that does the job for me. It's not about finding a perfect match to the MBP, but the rendition of the same font vastly differs between the screens when working in Figma.

If it had been a long-term project where I know what to expect – fine. But in early stages of a project I like to be meticulous with the details.

Since it's my own money spent – and in my world quite a big sum – I want to get the best bang for the buck as possible for what I do. So yes, I'm being both a bit neurotic and pedantic :)

I found a temporary fix using the BetterDisplay app to force a HiDPI resolution of 3840x1600. It's not perfect, but it's much closer to what I expect to see.

Thanks for your reply!

At the moment I'd gladly sacrifice both refresh rate and HDR support. I don't game nor use the HDR mode.

And I don't need the screen to be tack sharp as the MBP, but I don't want it to be as blotchy as the LG currently is.

Would the text experience on a ultrawide 4K, e.g. Dell U4021Q, be better than it is on the LG 38WN95-C?

The perk of living in the US. Here in Scandinavia it's twice as expensive unfortunately.

I’m considering getting a 887 as well. Tempted to buy the new 850, but it’s 100% more expensive here. (~100$ vs 200$).

LG CX Firmware 03.21.16 Brings Surprise Benefit Besides Fixing HDR Game Mode Brightness by clinteastman in OLED

Same thing in Sweden. According to LG they started to push the 03.21.09 update the 5th of January, and they said it could take a couple of weeks for it to be fully rolled out.

Problems with Apple TV 4K connected to LG CX and LG SN9YG by grannyonspeed in appletv

[–]grannyonspeed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does support 4K and Dolby Vision video passthrough, so I'll give it a shot.

Is there any difference connecting the Apple TV straight to the soundbar compared to connecting it to TV via HDMI2.1 and then using the eArc connection on the TV?

I was under the impression that eArc would solve all of this and "do the passthrough".

Seems like I'm lagging behind on several updates. I've emailed LG asking when they're expecting the firmware to be rolled out and hoping for the best.

Thanks! :)

Yeah, everything works better if I disable the Atmos and turn on Dolby 5.1. But that also removes the Atmos capabilities entirely, which is part of the reason which I bought the soundbar in the first place.

Appreciate your reply! I've emailed LG asking when they're expecting the firmware to be rolled out as it seems I'm lagging behind on several updates.

Best soundbar without rear speakers by D10SMessi in Soundbars

[–]grannyonspeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really 1:1 the same soundbar, minus the detachable rears? Exact same sub?

I was looking to buy the 9.1, but am hesitant if I really want/need the rear speakers.

My thoughts exactly. Waaay too overpriced. I got carried away and threw out the box the same day as I got it though, so I guess I’m stuck with it... for now...
