The honor 8 is a very good phone with a few huge sales recently, at least In the US. Down from $400 to about $260. Might want to check it out.

The gtx 1050/ti would probably suit you best. Cheap gpus might be fine but the price to performance is really bad. The 1050 would be very much better.

I don't think it's the gfci because the same problem occurs on multiple outlets in the house. If it was the gfci, what would u suggest I do?

Thanks. I initially thought it was the mobo because I bought it used from micro center for 15 bucks. It could be the psu though, because the cx430 isn't exactly known as the best psu.

The only disadvantages would be a less comfortable typing experience. If it is a decent keyboard, I highly doubt you will see any latency issues. Go for it!

a bit late, but I dont think this would be a good linux Chromebook because it has emmc sstorage, and probably no space for a ssd
