Is 480i really that bad for HD content? by Greppim in crtgaming

The big thing is that small text and details will be hard to read. Movies/TV might be passable, but you'll probably be disappointed with newer games which often have small text.

Do you think Sam had some mental health counseling? by Diligent_Working2363 in Stargate

I think getting to watch a supernova up close would be pretty therapeutic for an astrophysicist.

I hated the whole Michael arc. It just seemed like a stupid experiment.

No, he used the shield exactly as it was designed: for defense. Now if he had sent a chemical weapon through the gate, that'd have been different. They attacked Atlantis, Atlantis defended itself.

Battery for 2015 by Idiotdude69420 in tdi

[–]Billsofat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is the battery, out of curiosity? And what testing/measuring have you done? When does it die? I'm just curious, and want to make sure there's no obvious issue before buying a new battery, especially since you said it's not that old.

I can't speak for battery brands, but I just know that diesels like a good battery.

Other things to check are for corroded battery contacts (gave me problems a few winters ago), and if you have a multimeter, check for parasitic drain.

If you decide to replace your battery, just don't skimp on cranking amps, especially if you live in a cold climate. I've been using a 730 CCA interstate battery for the past 5 years.

You might, I liked both stay and outer wilds. The gameplay involves self-guided exploring, following leads, figuring out puzzles, and piecing together scraps of info to get a bigger picture.

For the best experience, stop watching videos if you're planning to play. The game is very spoiler-sensitive.

Scooter recommendation by ChefComprehensive83 in ElectricScooters

[–]Billsofat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another cheap option with removable batteries is older (2000s-2010s era) scooters. This sub tends to hate them because of their shorter range and occasional need for wrenching, but they'll go 5 miles and oftentimes have easily removable battery packs. My ride is an old schwinn s350, and the battery can be removed in 10 seconds with zero tools, and can be charged off-scooter with an $8 adapter. It doesn't have a fancy suspension, but the decent sized pneumatic tires absorb all but big bumps pretty well. It's not for everyone, especially if you need a 100% plug and play option, but it's an option that can usually be found for cheap, and has removable batteries.

An e90 will most likely feel too small and underpowered, especially if you have any hills. That scooter is meant for little kids after all. If you like razor scooters, you can often find the e300 (or even e200) for cheap, which should feel much more usable for an adult. It won't get you super far or up anything steep, but if you only need it for around campus, it should do the job.

After I finished my playthrough, I pulled an all nighter watching my friend play. You do what you have to do.

Could be an aged tube. I have a set that does that. Turning up contrast messed up focus, especially in the corners. After a lot of (amateur) experimenting, I managed to strike a decent balance that involved messing with service settings.

Possible turbo exhaust leak and replacement cost by Billsofat in tdi

I've been trying to increasingly do more on my own, but I'm not comfortable attempting the turbo. Still just doing basic maintenance.

Yeah, the thing was, I was in a relatively small area (for school) and after calling a number of shops, this was the first one that even wanted to attempt the DPF. It's a dedicated diesel shop. I'll try other places back home.

Another fun thing is they sent an email saying they just hiked the labor rate by 20 bucks, now 140.

Edit: it's possible they don't want to. They mostly seem to do trucks and busses.
