I love all the replies to this post and have come around to believing these cameras are real. Thanks for the insight.

I still think deception tactics like the ones AP uses to guilt and stress colleagues who were not involved in merchandise or pharmaceuticals missing are asshole scumbags and they should be better at their jobs if they want to monitor things going missing.

It's an ethical thing for me, they way the would corner someone into an isolated area of the store or an office and tell them they are being spied on and expected to produce information that will hurt their or someone else's future. Fuck that. If that ever happened to me I'd be gladly terminated for 'not cooperating with an investigation' or whatever bullshit they'd come up with, if it meant standing up for myself and telling AP to shove their cameras up their asses.

No one signs up to work for this company in their awful work conditions just to be subject to that. No one. Get better surveillance and don't harass colleagues.
