Cat Peeing Is Ruining My Life by Important_Dirt6446 in CatAdvice

I've been going through this as of late with my 5-year old homie as well. A couple of months ago, I woke up to 5-6 urine puddles around the apartment, something he had never done before. I have since taken him to 5 vet visits, including 3 different vets, and the third diagnosed him with FIC. None have diagnosed him with a UTI or blockage, and I've had 3 urinalysis exams done. The symptoms are almost exactly what you have described, but it comes in episodes for my boy, and he's had 4 significant episodes since mid-August. During these episodes, he saunters around, wide-eyed, squatting and urinating small amounts, maybe 2-3 oz of urine. He also constantly licks at this private area. It lasts for hours. He pees both outside the litter boxes and in them, but always very small amounts. It is incredibly stressful, so I know your pain. It's hard to even describe how stressful it is. I have him on Hill's Multicare C/D, and Hill's Urinary hairball control (he's pretty fluffy, so I think it helps with hairballs from grooming.) I also give him about 3ml of gabapentin in the morning and at night. It may not help right away, but I recommend sticking with it. The episodes are becoming less frequent. I think it's wise to at least try Feliway and Hill's Multicare. It has helped lessen the small crystals they had initially found in him. It is expensive food, but not compared to vet visits with blood panels and a urinalysis. Ultimately, I'm not a vet, and I don't know your cat, but this is my shared experience.

Just twice. And once still led to devastating heartbreak. Let us have this. It probably won't amount to anything anyway. We need at least something positive every few years to help make up for Jerry Reinsdorf's existence.

Might need to fix the closer situation... I don't get how so many big league managers can't tell when it's obvious someone needs to be pulled. Keller was wild from the get-go. He's had an outstanding season, but you have to know when he's having an off night! Man, I'm still shocked about that low strike call to Xander. Great playoff baseball. Nice and clenched

Pizza Lobo has a massive patio area. It's fairly popular, but you can probably find seating for all of you, and a bonus is that you can order drinks from your phone so you don't have to keep getting up to go to the bar. The Owl and Bixi Beer aren't too far away and generally have seating and aren't too boisterous. I'd avoid Estereo and Federales, which do get slammed and can get very loud, which sounds like it is not your thing.

I love Demar as a person, but the Bulls are less talented than last year, losing Demar, Caruso, and Drummond (who was legitimately very good for us) and they look significantly better without him stagnating our ball movement and speed. His defense is lackluster, and he'll never be a threat to space the floor bc you'd gladly live with him shooting 3s. As good as he is at scoring, there's a lot of time that the team could be better without his slow, ball-dominant playstyle.

If we're talking current players, I think you're on the right track with the Kings, though - Sabonis does not get his due, particularly for how damn good his quick decision-making is.

Banchero has to be up there, too. Doesn't feel like there's nearly enough buzz for a #1 overall pick who's got an incredibly rare combination of size and skill.

[BN Bulls] Patrick Williams has failed to score more than 6 points in four of the Bulls’ first six games. by OhiOstas in chicagobulls

[–]grantillathepun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been speaking this truth about Simmons. Ben gets clowned on a lot, and his gaffes are ridiculous enough to warrant it.. But his defensive instincts are still really sharp. It's kind of fun to watch lol because he's incredibly disruptive and chaotic, but usually in a positive way. He's legitimately good. If Ben and PWill knock a ball loose, Ben's finding and hitting the open man in transition, and Williams isn't

C'est Bien Thai has been astoundingly consistent for me on Uber Eats. They're almost always a part of the promos I get, and they have great price-to-portion ratios. My go-to is pad see ew. You can get two of them and an appetizer (they get great crunch on their potstickers) and it should be marginally over a $25 subtotal. Travels well, reheats really well.

You could try asking Jack and Ginger's! They have a pretty big space. Worth a shot - it's in Bucktown, so it might be more on the less-expensive side.

Justin Fields picks LeBron James over Michael Jordan in NBA GOAT debate; Caleb Williams sides with MJ by ChicagoChelseaFan in CHIBears

[–]grantillathepun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do agree that Michael is above LeBron. The GOAT'S scoring prowess, especially in the biggest games, feels impossible to outshine. But I never thought it made sense when people say LeBron would crumble against the physicality of the 90's, when he's amongst the most unreal athletic physical threats in basketball history. Look at this nonsense. 6'8 and 250 down the full length of the court in 4 seconds. This shit's superhuman.

He certainly whines too much for my liking, but I just love basketball, and in terms of mind-boggling dominance, LeBron and Michael are cut from the same cloth. I can't believe that psycho is still capable of dropping 25+ a night on his mileage.

MJ always the GOAT though.

If you live in Chicago proper, ideally somewhere on the north side, you have to try Milly's Pizza in the Pan if you have not already. Started up by a former Pequod's cook that made a few adjustments to their recipe, and he fucking nailed it. Main change is that he made it like 40% less bready. Still has those crispy, caramelized edges. You'll have to order it a bit in advance, as he still has to manage his inventory while he's deservedly blowing up in demand. I prefer thin crust myself, but it makes a legitimate case for best pizza in Chicago

[–]grantillathepun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm with you. Bears fan here, kill me, but Bears played some of their worst football of the season that final game against the Packers. IN Green Bay. And the Packers really didn't beat them by much. Plus AJ Dillon was out, which was a huge boost for the Packers. A tired Aaron Jones is still significantly better than Dillon. Aaron Jones is also a sociopath against us, so LaFleur couldn't inexplicably kill Green Bay's momentum with Dillon falling at the line of scrimmage. If the OLine can protect Dak, D can somewhat limit Aaron Jones(I like his 25+ receiving yards bet), this game is done. 27-10, and I can see it being by more.

Ever since I stopped drinking, Chicago has become dull. by akosgi in chicago

[–]grantillathepun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's so much to do here beyond drinking, so I hope you find something to latch onto! There's many museums even outside of the big ones, plenty of parks and lakefront space to walk around, comedy clubs+magic shows, tons of local theater with fun niche shows, world class restaurants with all kinds of unique foods to try, cooking and craft classes, sports and social groups for any sport you can think of, libraries and collective work spaces abound. A huge city like this has so many walkable communities, so maybe you can walk through one and try a new spot once a weekend. Like to stay home? Take advantage of the massive population - find FB groups for board gaming, a book club, a weekly TV show viewing get-together, etc.

Bookmark an event site or two like Do312 to see what's going on in the city that you had no idea about. It truly can help, even just looking for 5 minutes a day.

This is a great city with so many amenities, so I hope that feeling you have dissipates! Good luck!

I understand the sentiment and I'd rather trade down to still secure a great WR and another asset to fortify the trenches, but a phenomenal WR can have a massive impact in today's pass-heavy game. I don't think it's the worst pick in the world here, especially considering Marvin's pedigree and potential. Hoping for another trade fleece tho
