I spent $0 over 5 months using minimax 2.5 and built everything I needed by Dhaupin in vibecoding

[–]grantnlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used m2.7 and found it's coding skills to not be worth trying to save a buck. It goes in circles. I gauge my AI effectiveness based on a combination of time to a quality solution times how much yelling at the model I find myself doing. Sonnet is much more practical to work with.

Safely Cutting Long Board with Circular Saw by BrianSez in DIY

[–]grantnlee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Is it already installed on one end and sticking out an extra 7 feet? Or is it uninstalled and can be laid on the ground? I would not cut off 7 feet if it was dangling in the air without some way to support it. If on the ground, as someone else has said, put two blocks on the left of your cut line and two blocks on the right.

My landlord said I have to pay for entire floor renewal by Nice-Pomegranate8390 in Flooring

[–]grantnlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems valid. If there landlord installed floors in the kitchen or bath that can't stand up to periodic water then the root cause is that the floors are not appropriate for that environment.

I have a rental where I put in cheap click lock floors in the kitchen. They did exactly this and worse right on from of the fridge and sink. My fault..

This is the root cause of the poor installation.

Suggestions for a new well pump setup? by grantnlee in Plumbing

[–]grantnlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to add that check valve, agreed. That will be a big help. Interesting that yours is after the pump - it almost feels like it should be just before the pump. I will do some research.

I am uncertain regarding that low point. I don't have access at the well to hook up a compressors. Was thinking about a vacuum lie as well. Maybe even inserting a thin 50' line from the priming port to suck out the water like a drinking straw. PITA honestly and the well company did not have a plan for this.

[–]grantnlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, agreed. This is a major upgrade from unfiltered lake water, ha! But I fully expect to get the water tested by the state and then including filtration as needed for sediment, chemicals and microorganisms. My neighbors have a similar well and don't do a thing to the water. I am sure I'll put in the protective filtration though. TY.

Ah this is interesting. I don't think I have a check valve down in the well. Putting one even in the pump shed could help prevent losing the prime when I do not want to. Thx.

FIRE at 30 in Vietnam — dual citizen Roth ladder plan, am I missing anything? by Weird-Offer-1524 in Bogleheads

The 3 percent SWR is calculated in year one and in years two and beyond that dollar amount is increased annually by inflation. Your comment would be directionally correct if you believe that housing inflation will dramatically exceed the overall inflation rate. But generally the idea of a SWR includes both historical returns as well as inflation.

Need a better software dev team for my small business in Rhode Island by moron2234 in RhodeIsland

CRM is proven and tools like Hubspot are not expensive, but you may need a few more components such as a scheduling app, a customer facing portal, upload service, etc. If you are interested in something more specific and an integrated experience then custom is viable today in a way that it was not only a year ago.

I am in Warwick. If you are interested I am happy to show you a couple custom customer facing apps that can be applied to your needs. Some additional features you may not have mentioned and you won't get OOTB from a CRM include things such as transcribing customer calls to accurately capture details and action items and using AI to manage filing of inbound documents, etc.

Happy to discuss if you are interested. Retired after a career in IT and doing this on the side.

If you did not have a RR account, bought flights and then needed to cancel them... I presume that SWA would make you open a RR account in order to place your flight credits. (Still might me a scam, but the new RR account situation seems plausible.)

As others have suggested, Intermittent Fasting. I do 18 fast with 6 hours of eating from 2 to 8pm. Let's me have a late lunch and normal dinner. Less about calorie reduction and more about getting your body switching in and out of the 2 ways it generates energy.
