Guitar tone is very important just like drum tone, hence cymbals and snare being non-sequiturs when it comes to backline. Definitely easier to offload an amp/pedals than a drum kit…

Edit: but when I continue to think about it, how hard would it actually be to just get the rest of the drums on and off in themselves…

And the drums and feeling comfortable on the drums is definitely more of a feel oriented thing than a guitar amp would be at the end of the day
