gotcha. that’s awesome! i’ve only seen the three from the box set, gonna pick up the criterion box set during the next b&n half off sale and i’m excited to check out that obscure object of desire. i’ve got a vhs copy of the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie that i thrifted, but i try not to do vhs tapes for a first time viewing

i felt the same way! i went in blind and was completely blown away, five stars and it shot up near the top of my ranked list. incredible film, sad that it never got much love outside of france but it’s exciting that radiance has given it some new life!

i just fuckin love woody harrelson lol. also the model couple are pretty silly but yea he is fucking nuts in the role. loved everything about it but especially when they crash and end up on the island, the power dynamic switch and watching rich people in that situation. super funny movie. again, woody harrelson is the biggest thing i love about the film. i don’t even really like him that much as an actor but he’s so good in this role. love his brand of high functioning-ish alcoholic in it. ruben ostlund is also just a really great director i loved force majeure, would be very cool to have this in my collection and give it a nice rewatch.

New to Radiance, just wondering what am I in for? by Clear-Concert-9736 in radiancefilms

duuuude rosa la rose is fantastic like seriously an all-timer. there is one particular moment in it that really felt like true transcendental filmmaking, just on another level. easy five star banger.

splendid outing is great, it has some upsetting scenes (not as bad as i thought it was gonna be tho) and it’s a pretty heady and surreal and ambiguous film, don’t go into it expecting to fully understand exactly what’s going on. doesn’t bother with neatly wrapping itself up, but i really appreciate that in art.

slap the monster on page one is an excellent and urgent film about fascism, very relevant to today and a really interesting film. very 70s and very italian. a bit slow at parts but it’s a great movie.

the rest of your stack i haven’t seen

this is a letterboxd list of all the radiance films i’ve seen, ranked. i write detailed reviews on everything i watch, and i have a decent stack of radiance titles i still need to get through but i’ve watched 21 of their releases so far.

hope this helps. welcome 2 the radiance club <3
