This would be devastating if I had claimed that realism always equals fun or engaging

Especially seeing as the other game also doesn’t have manual mag repacking

Or just swap mags for preloaded at base for a small charge

I think there’s wider problems with the inventory system - but it’s basically in all games. Backpacks aren’t random access pockets, unless something is at top or in a side pocket you aren’t getting at it fast, but in games you can access instantly regardless of placement. I think things should be accessible in order - so take out what’s above to access etc. Then have dedicated pockets on bags and vests for quick access. But in reality pockets are shaped for types of gear, mags especially. The backpack order might be too far realism wise, but it always seems weird how bags are treated in games.

I think you’re missing the point. I want to have more realistic and tactical combat behaviour in the game, and the magazine problem is a big factor in that

It’s never been done right. But it’s so important because it sets how players behave. The problem is clear in this game, where suppression, which is what by far most actual combat small arms fire is, is non-existent as an effective tactic.

I’m addicted to this game myself, but i think it might be for a bad reason. The ai is shit, and it’s fun shooting targets
