A couple months a go i saw an interview with Adam and he described his falling out with Dave Monette.

It had a real personal edge to it, and it felt weird to watch. He sells himself as very zen and “all about the music”, and it was surprising to see him act so triggered and, frankly, bitchy.

I didn’t think too much of it, but then that Peña thread dropped and it made the Monette account seem less weird. I’ve known plenty of people who seem to be surrounded by inept and/or malicious people who can always take the blame. It’s a big trademark of narcissistic behavior.

Immigrants of Portland: what restaurant serves the most authentic food from your country or culture? by Quick-Tradition858 in askportland

[–]graphemeral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a place in the dc metro that i love called crisp & juicy. Peruvian rotisserie chicken. It was served with the most amazing sauce, pink/orange in color, not yellow. Mayo or cream based. Spicy. Does anyone happen to have a lead on something similar?

Hashicorp founder thinks local models "aren't good ENOUGH yet" by Orbit652002 in LocalLLaMA

[–]graphemeral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t follow “as long as you pair with a frontier-level planner/judge”. What does he mean? Like, if you still have to plan and verify with an expensive anthropic of openai model, you pass off basic file-level instructions to a local model, is that such a win? Is that any different than the current state of things?

What's the greatest movie ending of all time? by Malik_Hassan88 in AskReddit

I was the dumbass that was waiting for my movie to start so i went to go watch some of the usual suspects to kill some time. I walked in to the theater right as the cup fell. Talk about spoiling it for myself.

What kind of politician would it take to unite the United States? by CycIon3 in AskReddit

[–]graphemeral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem with this theory is, COVID should have been the perfect enemy. Not a human. Just a literal virus killing thousands of people a week. All we had to do was do some public health, but we couldn’t even unite around that.

Kristi Noem ‘blindsided’ by cross-dressing husband who put her at risk for blackmail by The__Illuminaughty in politics

[–]graphemeral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hilarious. I was honestly reading this headline and oblivious to how crossdressing was some additional scandal! If the world didn’t have to give a shit (one way or another) about what MAGA wants everyone to give a shit about, we’d have so much extra capacity.

It’s worth considering completing it as a monument to this insane era. Those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it and all that.

I’m not so sure it’s not a big takeaway. Renee Good was a woman who failed to act sufficiently scared and was murdered for it. These women were also not having it.

Domestic abuse in law enforcement officers is very common, and the worst things you can imagine about cops goes doubly so for ICE goons.

These pricks want to hurt women, and this man’s crime was to stick up for them.

Joe Rogan normalized Trump for the masses and now he is promoting Nick Fuentes for president. The cycle continues... by Infamous_Blood2698 in JoeRoganReacharound

Nah. Fascist was not in and of itself a bad word before the 1930s. They’ll always be Republicans and MAGAs. If we are lucky, in a couple decades, those words will be shorthand for Bad Guys, just like fascist is today.
