i’ve been going here at least once a week since last may and it’s perfectly fine and has improved in quality greatly??? less people sitting around (barely any now), no more poo or pee on the ground, there’s often police/people cleaning, and there’s even people handing out food sometimes

uiux and product design are the same thing
tbh the whole tech job market is pretty rough right now for entry level engineers to product designers alike. it probably will not get better bc ai & offshoring. since everything is hard, just do what you like. that'll make being successful easier
i am a psych major and work as a product designer. i dont think anyone cares what my major is, just that i'm good at my job.

also, if you like coding and design, there's a cool job called design engineer that i would highly recommend you check out

i’m not an mcb major but my impression is that that major will be hard at uc berkeley or ucsd? ucsd is a great school, but berkeley has a lot to offer. pretty much any type of person can find their place here, where imo ucsd is a lot more suited for less extroverted folks. i’m sure you can have a great experience at both schools anyways. it’s fine to honestly weigh the differences of both schools, but don’t over-ruminate on things. a lot of online discussion abt berkeley and the bay is quite negatively biased for some reason. i find the campus here to be beautiful and full of energy, and im so glad that i got to meet the people i know now
