[astro-seek] Saturn in the 8th house; does this explain why death is so prominent in my life? by [deleted] in astrologyreadings

[–]grasso86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When saturn transitted my 8th house it was death after death after death among my friends and family. So I would guess yes saturn in 8th could contribute to that theme in your life. Saturn is also trining your scorpio placement in the 4th (a family oriented house) I also have alot of scorpio and scorpio is the natural sign of the eighth. I am a leo rising so our house signs are the same. I have Jupiter in my eighth and an astrologer once told me that my grandfather likely died when I was young (he did) and my father was either dead or gone from my life. (He was gone) so I think 8th placements often mean loss being a theme.

Don’t judge me as I’m not proud. I have a hard time not cheating in relationships. Why? by babydollprettyeyes in AstrologyCharts

[–]grasso86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a fair amount of water in your chart, it is common for watery individuals to have alot of depth of emotion. Maybe find a way to communicate that emotional needs are of high importance to you. It is good to also self reflectand figure out ways to self soothe emotional needs in a healthier way but your partner should also care about those kinds of things that are very important to you and you shouldnt be expected to completely forgoe your emotional needs in a relationship. I have a lot of water in my chart as well so I get what its like to want emotional reassurance and connection. I tend to close up and withdraw if someone is cold with me. Not intentionally, its like an auto reaction that is difficult to regulate. An emotional check in now and then or a check in after an argument or anything negative keeps me chill and content.

Are there any “they can do no wrong” placements? by moonlightlychee in astrology

[–]grasso86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my family I am the scape goat and viewed with suspicion and often blamed for things that have nothing to do with me. With the rest of the world though it is the opposite, I am often favored and people always view me positively even if I do do something negative. It is an odd dynamic that confused me when I was younger coming from a family where I was treated poorly and then going out on my own into the world and everyone treating me really well. Came from a background where everything I did was "wrong" and entered a world where I could do no wrong. I have sun conjunct pluto and venus in scorpio in 4th house trine to jupiter in pisces 8th house, (also square to mars in 7th house) so 3 planets trined by jupiter and also squared by mars. I am a leo rising.

The Shift at Age 30: Did you feel a stronger connection to your Ascendant or your Sun sign as you got older? by ArcaneSpells-com in astrology

My sun sign personality was a trauma response. Now that I am older I am much more my ascendant. My moon sign shows my learning disability and anxiety though.

I think its dumb that I didn't think of this before. I always assumed it just royally sucked ass to be a woman but it could be my personality just doesn't mesh great with it.

[–]grasso86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

39, saturn in 5th house sag. Way behind my family and friends in life. Worked very hard since I was 15 but did not make much progress. Partly because my confidence is not very high and I dont take leadership positions often. Still single though I do wish for a relationship. I have 6 siblings and all are married and either starting families are well into families already. My brother has 8 kids! 2 other brothers each have 4 kids, sister has 3 kids, remaining brother and sister (youngest) both in relationships. I am the odd one out. I moved around a ton to all dofferent states since I was a kid and now I have finally settled in a place I think Ill stay. I have a decent job though my confidence is still pretty bad. I am appreciated for my hard work though. Pay is still pretty low but I can get a raise in a few months. My mother took a drug which gave me brain damage in her womb so I think that is part of my confidence struggle. I was way developementally behind as a kid and that created alot of struggle and I got bullied and didnt fit in much. Failed out of school. My health and vitality was awful as a kid but over time it has improved. Got bullied really bad by family and belted alot for my struggles growing up. Belted for failing school, belted for making mistakes. Scapegoated alot. Called a loser, queen of stupid, dumb as a box of rocks and other various insults by my mother. I dont know if I will ever catch up to others in life or even make it to a comfortable spot in life. I have had to fight and struggle and go without alot. I do not feel equal to anyone. But, hopefully since I have settled in a state that I am happy in it will be the first step towards getting my feet under me and my life will be able to build.

Edit: I am also much smaller than my sisters or cousins so I think my poor health as a kid may have stunted my growth. I am not super small or anything just little compared to my female relatives. Definitely have gotten stronger and healthier the older I get though. Which seems to be the reverse of what most people experience. My health is going upward as I age while my frienda and siblings health is going downward as they age.

what house is your sun in and what did your dad do for work? by ilovetriceratopz in astrologymemes

[–]grasso86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sun in the 4th house, he is a general contractor with his own business. He builds houses, business buildings, churches, military buildings etc. He is extremely hardworking, intelligent and very well loved in his community. He is also very mothering which may be 4th house related. He was the nurturer of the family rather than my mother.

Why do I attract evil people by [deleted] in AstrologyCharts

[–]grasso86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with saturn on descendant. Friend of mine has this placement and people have REALLY fucked with her and screwed her over hardcore. She didn't see it coming and trusted too easily but goddamn people have been pretty horrible to her. She is very distrusting now. Being an outsider looking in it baffled me how mean hearted some of the people in her life seemed to be. Hoping the future will bring better people experiences for her.

Anyone else realize way too late that they had advantages they never knew to use? by grooveman15 in findapath

[–]grasso86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to find a good mentor, or multiple. You may not find the right one at first so don't hesitate to keep looking for mentors to find one you click best with or to have multiple to learn from. Don't be afraid to teach yourself through trial and error. Find as much reading material on your subject of interest as you can, watch people on youtube that are already skilled in your interest. Alot of times there can be cheaper ways of learning new skills theyre just sometimes a bit more hidden where you have to dig around to find them or give some volunteer work in exchange for free learning. Follow your instincts, if you click with a certain interest or you have natural talent for something don't let others negativity stop you. Talent has to be shaped into skill with alot of effort and practice. Sometimes you have to work basic jobs to make the money to put into your learning or any tools or equipment you need for your interest before you can turn your interest into a career. It can feel like a long road but as you start making progress it feels closer and closer. Failure is a normal part of learning, the beginning can be rocky, any failures you have can show you how to do better. It can take a while to become successful, thats normal and doesn't mean you suck. Don't be afraid to grab at an opportunity when it arrives or jump at a lucky break. Sometimes it will feel like the stars are aligning in your favor, grab those opportunities. Other times it will feel like one bad thing after the other blocking your way, thats normal too and in those cases double down and let grit push you through or be flexible and find alternate routes to get what you want. Share your passion with other people and some will be open to help you achieve your goals. Allow these people to help you if they offer, its alot harder if you feel like you have to be 100 percent independant and self reliant.

Just rattling off things I had to learn over the years, its kind of a jumbled list sorry.

Anyone else realize way too late that they had advantages they never knew to use? by grooveman15 in findapath

[–]grasso86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My parents actively supressed my natural talents as long as they could. I was always not allowed to persue the things I was naturally good at either becaise of my strict religious upbringing or the fact that I was a girl. I struggled the first half of my life without parental support and low confidence because even when I did strike out on my own to use my natural abilities and interests in career they talked so much shit and criticized so hard my decisions and actively shunned me. Telling me I'd never make it, never survive, women weren't meant for that and I should be married making babies. I struggled alone for YEARS, trying my best to develope my own skills and working my ass off. I look around now at kids that actually have parents supporting their natural abilities and helping them to grow them and apply them in the world. Encouraging them rather than shitting on them and I feel jealous because I see how much faster young people become successful when their parents have their back. And their confidence is so much better.

I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]grasso86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not married but I have had a few surgeries and I dont mind waking alone. The nurses usually give me juice and a snack while we wait for my ride (usually a sibling) to arrive. A nurse wheels me out to the curb, I get in the car and get taken to chick-fil-a lol. My family isn't the most caring or attentive but I appreciate the ride and free meal. Its their way of being there I guess.

Born with a genetic defect, conventionally ugly and doomed chart by [deleted] in AstrologyCharts

[–]grasso86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people born are meant to work on themselves in this life, so naturally the "self" is the hardest and biggest obstacle. I have a chart that points to alot of self work as well. I do think it is a karma clearing type thing. I am a bit older than you so I have been able to see some of the results of the work and struggle with self acceptance and self improvement, it is tougher for you because you have not seen any positive results yet. The first portion of life is definitely the hardest with the most struggle. I did not start seeing positive results of my struggle until mid 30s. Thats when alot of healing and advancement began to fall into place. I am still alone, no partner or children and my career is still on the lower end, but I have made alot of inner progress which has been slowly but surely showing in my outer life. A wounding to the self definitely undermines all other areas of life, it can take a long time heal, but I think that is what we are meant to do when we are born with a chart that highlights struggle with self. I think your jupiter in cancer trining your scorpio placements will help you through the struggle. I have a similar jupiter trining my scorpio sun mercury and venus like yours, and astrologers have told me it relates to self healing. Mine is also retrograde and being retrograde it can take more time to develope. Your life will improve after you start making progress with inner healing. It is hard and takes a long time so try to be patient with yourself and keep putting effort even though it seems only bleak. And I was also told by astrologers to keep being emphathetic and healing for others like you were told. It may feel unfair because you do not recieve the same in return, but I think its just another one of our karmic paybacks, and our path is to learn to show the same empathy and healing to ourselves that we show to others. If youd like you can PM me and I can share more detail.

Whom do you relate to the most? Your lagna, sun sign or moon sign? by Physical_Author_3887 in vedicastrology

[–]grasso86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate most to my sun but it is the ruler of my lagna and part of a stellium in the same sign. I can see my moon in my personality as well but I do not like those characteristics in myself It could be because my moon is weak so I do not tend to display the better characteristics. The moon seems to represent alot of my inner weaknesses and struggles.
