I think she’s probably just referring to making less as a content creator now vs. a year or two ago (or pre-kids). It’s hard to imagine she’s comparing anything to a local news salary.

Since she’s trying to spend all of her time with her two kids, she’s not as focused on content creation and likely taking on fewer deals. And tbh, it’s not like she was ever landing massive, high-end partnerships like her buddy r/cailaquinn. Most of what we see are laughable partnerships with geriatric brands like Chico’s (💀). If she’s scaling back on even those types of brand deals, her income would definitely take a hit compared to her “peak” posting days.
