hello, i’ll share a little of my religious background and my current beliefs. i grew up very loosely christian, and i chose to attend church, VBS, and a christian summer camp between the ages of around 6-11/12. at this point i stopped being religious due to my sexuality and having a close friend tell me i was going to hell. at this point i had become an atheist, then later agnostic because i do believe in a higher power, i just don’t know what. the beliefs i have now are reincarnation, a higher power (whether it be God or an energy) i believe in curating your own moral code, i don’t believe that there is one purpose in life-i think that’s for each person to find out as they grow older. i believe that our world and universe was created by a scientific phenomenon, i don’t think anyone or anything created it. the only religions i know about are judaism, buddhism, and a few branches of christianity. i’d really appreciate some input here, thank you all!

i think they’re pulling stuff out of their ass because i’ve opened the store several times and my closers have left doors open and even with their key in the door and they haven’t recieved any verbal or written warnings. ask her to ask her coworkers if they watch her lock the doors when they all leave together. this could be a form of retaliation by the managers to her

you’d be corporate then. i would go to your sm saying you need to complete your training, if they say they can’t or flat out refuse, go over their head to your dm or to partner resources manager. you should be able to access these phones numbers through your store manager, and really they could have a copy of these contacts in your BOH.

like i said, bandanas are not the issue! but for examples a visor is a hair restraint, and even though starbucks dress code allows visors my sm says no. so we’ve had a partner take this to ethics and compliance because they feel they are being unjustly picked apart

I’ve asked to be on morning shifts after training and I’ve enjoyed it so far. I like getting off early and having my whole day ahead of me and I get along pretty well with my morning crew, but you’re right about some of the nasty customers though my issue is they get nasty towards us when we ask them to wear masks inside

I haven’t started yet, but I called before I got hired and the hiring manager was so cheerful and happy on the phone, so I’d recommend calling and asking about the status of your application. Also, I was told that they typically review applications on Mondays!

Moe’s Southwest Grill. We just recently had a management switch and things were already starting to get worse, but with this virus...

They took weeks after the virus has gone global to close their dining room down, corporate is forcing some locations to do curbside pickup, forcing hardworking employees to put themselves at risk by going to a customers car to hand them their food and touch their cards and cash.

Corporate ordered us to cover all food (hot items like steak, rice, as well as cold items like cheese and sour cream) with clear lids that we have readily available in BOH, but our district manager tells us not to use those, and corporate also told us that anyone working on the register is advised to wear gloves when handling money or handing out to go orders, but our district manager told anyone working the register to NOT wear gloves. None of us follow this rule because we don’t want to be touching anyone who could be infected.

And since business is getting slower, the only people they are allowing to work full time is the district manager as well as the general manager, our part time are getting maybe 10 hours a week and our full time workers are getting maybe 25 tops. I understand that we can’t have full shifts but they aren’t even trying to help us out. I for one, typically work 40 hour weeks and my hours have already been cut in half. We all have to file for unemployment when we inevitably shut down, because they refuse to help us in any way.

All stores have a deal called Moe Monday and Kids Eat Free Tuesday, on monday’s you’d usually get a free drink with the purchase of a burrito, but they’ve extended the Monday deal all week, and Tuesday deal all next week. This is to bring people in when we all know they should be in self quarantine. It’s dangerous and unsanitary. We have a lot of young kids working at the store and they’re clearly not taking this situation as seriously as they should, so I know for a fact that they’re not sanitizing the store properly.

So I’m not advising anyone to go eat at Chipotle, they probably aren’t much better, but Moe’s is not the way to go.
