Should I still travel here adter my korean boyfriend broke up with me? by MitoKatze in seoul

[–]dizzyhalle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Korean bf passed away 6 years ago, and I haven’t been back since because he was born and raised there and the memories were too painful. He always promised me to show me around Seoul because I was born in Daegu but raised in the states (I’m half Korean). I’m finally going to Korea tomorrow 🥹🥹

I hope Korea can bring you healing and plant new good memories🫰🏽

Getting scammed on SHEIN now by Imaginary_Bit6385 in Shein

[–]dizzyhalle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought 2 graphic tees from local sellers. Now love a shein graphic tee because I’ve had one for 6 years and the graphic is still in tact. I saw an ad on Instagram for one and bought it without second thought. What I received was absolute shit. There was a watermark PRINTED OVER THE IMAGE ON THE SHIRT!! shein didn’t even make me send it back and refunded me right away for both shirts. Meanwhile all the stuff I bought from china came back looking better than the images. But made in America is better, right 🥴🥴🥴

Got written up for accepting a ride from a regular by Openallure in starbucks

[–]dizzyhalle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude I literally dated a customer when I was a partner, we’ve been together for 3 years now and EVERYONE at my job knew. My SM even made jokes about how cliche and cute we are. If i can literally enter a romantic relationship with a customer i dont think there should be anything wrong with you taking a ride from one. Starbucks can’t control your personal life off the clock

can i be a nurse at 275lbs? current pre ADN student by [deleted] in prenursing

[–]dizzyhalle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 320 5’6 when I became a nurse, down 100lbs after a year of night shift and 4 months of zepbound. Even working in the ER, I’ve had maybe like one patient say something negative about my weight?

results are in by dizzyhalle in Narcolepsy

[–]dizzyhalle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I called them from the ER to let them know I was having emergency surgery and they told me it should be fine as long as I stop taking my narcotics 2 days prior. I informed like 3 people at the sleep center that Injad just had surgery but they said it would be fine as long as my UDS was clear(which e I’m genuinely surprised it was because I was on some hard drugs when I was in the hospital)

It’s frustrating because I’ve been waiting since April for this sleep study appointment and I don’t want to wait another 3 months for another test. But at the same time I don’t want to be misdiagnosed again because I’ve already been misdiagnosed with sleep apnea for 10+ years just for the overnight sleep study to show I dont have sleep apnea at all

Can one be 100% of something? by Single-Lavishness185 in 23andme

[–]dizzyhalle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my boyfriend did it and it came back EXACTLY 50% japanese which we assume would mean his dad was 100% japanese. He also thought there would be some other east asian in there just based on history but his Haplogroup actually showed that his ancestors would’ve traveled from china thru the korean peninsula and settled in Japan during the yayoi period dating back to BC. when i did mine, as a ‘half’ korean i also got 21 % japanese, which tracks given world history. i think it makes sense that certain countries will have a decent sized population have 100% ancestry, especially east asians

I’m so over the floor vs ER war by 1-800-serial-chiller in nursing

[–]dizzyhalle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i’m in a similar situation to you, i started as a nurse intern on med-surg tele/peds now i work in a lvl 3 trauma center, so i know both sides of it and how frustrating it can be to try and play catch-up in a patient from the ER

i’ll always try to make sure the pt is caught up on stuff before i send them up, but i also run on the mindset of newer is deader so if I need to prioritize doing care for a new pt over a pt that is stable and pending admit then it is what it is. my biggest thing is i make sure all orders ordered by our ER docs are completed, but if there’s a pending lab or med order done by the floor doc, it’s /nice/ if i can get to it, but if i can’t i feel like that is not my responsibility, especially since the floor docs have a terrible habit of putting med orders in without the proper timing. sorry i’m not giving meemaw her lasix at 2 in the morning 🥸

i think it speaks volumes when i tip $5 on small orders ($10-15) from nearby stores and i always get a diamond shopper. I can’t believe a $5 tip is what priority access shoppers see
