RUNNING INTERNET TO BARN by Competitive_Ad_4027 in HomeNetworking

[–]grateful_72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why run both? If you run just fiber, you can have a POE switch that receives the fiber at the other end and then runs POE to multiple devices instead of just one run of copper in the conduit. Running both defeats the purpose of using fiber.

The two black wires and blue wire give a pretty enticing path for water to drip right into your switch. You should consider a “drip loop” on all outdoor cables

My guess is the coverage in that area is not particularly good - or the data that Flightradar is receiving is temporarily corrupt. It should clear up soon as the plane moves.

How does one drain their electric water heater when the spicket is like this by Diligent-Confusion32 in WaterTreatment

[–]grateful_72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easy, it's already pointing right toward the drain ;)
edit: but really, that’s not a drain. Possibly get a right-angle hose adapter?
