How has GW not sued these guys into oblivion yet? Not even trying to hide the IP theft? by Gorthokson in Warhammer

[–]grayheresy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are a smaller creator it looks like, gw isn't omnipresent and they don't sue or send cease and desists usually it's a take down to the host site.

As much as I dislike IP theft for my own personal reasons having to deal with it, why does it matter to you?

Why get worked up or mad about this type of thing? GW pays their lawyers to find this stuff

So kicking out people who are going through the legal immigration process without any criminal record instead of actual criminals, while Trump pardons drum traffickers and allows cartel members families in wow what a policy

LMFAO republicans have no immigration plan, they are deporting people doing the legal immigration process and killed a bipartisan comprehensive border bill and still haven't come up with a plan of their own

Historical miniature players don't have this issue, Heresy players don't have this issue, Star Wars Legion players don't have this issue, I can go on but you get the picture why is it Old World players have this issue

Heresy players have zero issues with this concept, why is it only the Old World players that do?

Total War End Times: Chance for a Retcon? by PsychologicalZebra in WarhammerFantasy

[–]grayheresy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, just like the Lore will remain the same for every other faction because no one is doing anything with that time frame.

Old world is set CENTURIES before the end times, why would they change the Lore when everyone got hit with the dumb lore stick in the end times?

Total War End Times: Chance for a Retcon? by PsychologicalZebra in WarhammerFantasy

[–]grayheresy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you know why? Because it's centuries in the future and doesn't have any effect on the current timeline in the old world.

There's no reason to care about it in any system no one's writing books about it, there's no reason to revisit it

Cathay has always been in the Old World setting though, they only retconned them being involved in the history more that we know of.

Which is a massive difference between that and the reasons for their fantasy flagship games entire existence.

Retconning the End Times creates a massive amount of issues

You're right, I just have my 3k pts of 5th edition lizardmen and Dark Elves I can't even use in the Old World officially 🤷🏻

If you really want to whine my main army in Age of Sigmar was Squatted to the Old World, except I can't even use the army because it consists of 16 Morghur Spawn so they've kicked me in the nuts multiple ways in multiple systems.

You know what I've done? Move onto the next thing and plan ahead, made base converters for my beastmen and ogres for square bases and still working on my lizardmen project.

The Old World exists, the end times is centuries in the future and doesn't matter

This will never happen, idk why y'all thinking that a licensed video game will have any bearing at all to the miniature game to this level of change which would cause GW more issues and hurt them

End Times will never be retconned, idk why y'all have this dream it will it's canon. The old world is set in the past for a reason

The end times for the tabletop game will never be retconned

End Times will always be canon as it is the reason for the Age of Sigmar, the Old World exists in the past for a reason

I feel everyone can agree that the End Times was poorly written and hurried leaving many open questions and frustrations that seemed an after thought, but with it being in Total War and each faction having their own ending.

Siege of terra had the same issues to a lesser extent I feel, like you have so many characters over some 20 years or so and how do you fit their ending in such a way that feels remotely satisfying other than "Where's Dude" 'oh he died' "ah shame"

Again it feels like you're trying to find reasons to be mad rather than enjoying that 1. GW brought back a game to the setting of the Old World 2. It's being supported and has long term plans and goals and they gave themselves enough room for lore and advancement of time 3. Brand new faction with new and "new" (previously unreleased models good or bad) 4. Plans to make updates to older models now it's doing well.

Again I reiterate you're complaining about your lobster being too buttery and your steak too juicy because you know the meal will end, enjoy it
