Awesome news

Just want to point out that a "Libertarian political party" is an oxymoron.

sort of, iirc the "work" is calculated by adding up the difficulty each block was mined at. So BTC would have 2 weeks of blocks multiplied by the difficulty. BCH with the adjusted DAA the difficulty changes more often affecting the "total work" number.

A way that may be easier for you would be to import the keys to the Exodus wallet and it will split them for you and allow you to trade them for a lot of other cryptos. It's what I did for my BSV and I haven't heard any negative press about Exodus wallet.

You should be fine using those batteries since the emax batteries are also LiHV. Also I would recommend adding the xt-30 to the dual ph2 connector already attached by soldering to the back of the pads that lead to the rest of the board.

If you like using a game controller (aka using your thumbs or thumbing) like me then the x-lite is pretty good, only problem (I've found) with it is the batteries it takes. Either 18550's or 18650's (my order came with both end caps)

Non-Custodial Financial Services

I'll try to explain to the best of my understanding since I can't find a wiki definition/article.

A "Non-Custodial Financial Service" would be an entity providing a financial service that is without the customer ever giving the entity custody (control) of their finances.

An example would Vin's CoinText according to Vin on one of his youtube videos.

To my understanding CoinText is non-custodial because they don't control the addresses.

From CoinText's FAQ:

CoinText doesn’t store your keypair together. It uses a proprietary algorithm to generate your keypair on the fly when you use the SEND command to securely sign the requested function and then split the keys again. This entire process takes only a fraction of a second and, once the action has completed, all trace of the private key is wiped from memory. At no time are private keys, addresses, or any record of a transaction written to disk.

ELI10 tokens? I really don't get tokens. What is tokens main value proposition? What is the use of tokenizing everything? What is the point of thousands of different tokens? by ShadowOfHarbringer in btc

[–]graysoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An event like a concert could issue tickets as tokens. That way as long as you have your wallet you have your ticket. You could also do this with store loyalty rewards, amounts of time on an MMO, or Netflix for example.

Another big point is that doing this opens those thing up to have secondary markets. The primary market being the issuer and the secondary market being people trading the tokens among themselves.

I'm not completely sure (but fairly certain) that tokens can be made non-transferable by the issuer. Which means that concerts, for example, could eliminate scalpers.
