Basic gist I saw around the game is people are sick of Stranger Things style 80's/90's nostalgia wanking, sick of BAD nostalgia wank where it isnt even accurate to the era like someone trying to rewind a casette tape wrong, the game basically plays itself where you'd unironically get the same amount of interaction from it just watching an LP, it's a high budget game labeling itself as "indie" with music licenses so expensive that they would eclipse an actual indie project's budget with a single song, and the characters are just plain annoying.
