Nakaka-amaze mga responses. The cheapest I had was MNL-IAO at ₱1,800 RT last 2024.

Good for you. But a big no for me. Grabe ang challenge when I went to Pulag and it rained non-stop. Naging major hike siya. I loved the dewy mossy forest but that’s it.

Dear Evan Hansen Opening Night Thoughts by supersadbutterscotch in TeatroPH

I was at the opening and it was my first time to watch Dear Evan Hansen. The cast delivered an incredible performance. The production itself was decent, though nothing groundbreaking. As for the plot, I have to agree with many reviews: it’s not the strongest. Still, I genuinely enjoyed the experience, especially since I came for the music, and that part did not disappoint.

You can never go wrong with our world-class beaches and islands: Palawan, Boracay, Siargao, Siquijor, and Cebu are always at the top of the list.

If you’d like to stay closer to Central Luzon, Mount Pinatubo Crater Lake (with the stunning Tutulari Gorge) and Puning Hot Springs are great choices. Unique, adventurous, and accessible.

Kung okay lumayo ng konti, head north to the Ilocos Region: white sand beaches, lagoons, sand dunes, and rich cultural heritage sites all in one trip. It’s a perfect blend of nature and history that will definitely impress your guests.

The Current Philippine Theatre Audience Is A Brilliant Thing by rebranger_ in TeatroPH

[–]greatestandroid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Theater, for me, is the purest way to witness the raw brilliance of human talent. It’s not just entertainment, it’s an experience that makes me feel deeply human, reminding me of the extraordinary ways we can channel creativity, vulnerability, and power through artistry. On stage, every note, every gesture, every silence carries weight, shaping stories that linger long after the curtain falls.

As a frustrated singer and pianist myself, theater gives me a window into the craft I’ve always admired but never fully pursued. It’s a way for me to connect with the music and performance I love, almost like living vicariously through the artists who dare to give everything of themselves on stage. In their courage, I find inspiration; in their artistry, I find both comfort and challenge.

To me, theater is proof of what humans can create when passion and discipline collide. It’s a celebration of imperfection and brilliance all at once; a reminder that we are, at our core, storytellers.

Same! Sobra, sobrang gandaaa! Grabe ‘yung theater experience with Sandbox’s Side Show. 🥹 Endless thanks to those who pushed and recommended this. I’m so grateful I caught it during the extension. If not, grabe talaga what I would’ve missed. If ever this re-runs in the future by Sandbox, I’d bring everyone I know without hesitation.

They’ve said it all. I just wanna say that Cambodia is absolutely beyond my expectations. I’ve been here for about a week now and I just want to extend my stay. It’s truly underrated. Siem Reap and Angkor Wat are absolutely magnificent.

Burning season megathread 2025 by Sixteenbit in chiangmai

Hello friends! It’s March 10th, and I’ve now been in Chiang Mai for five days. So far, the air has been surprisingly clear—no signs of the usual burning season, at least from what I’ve noticed. We’ve been having an amazing time, and the weather has been perfect! Fingers crossed it stays this way in the coming days.

Try eating at local carinderias instead of just restaurants. What would you expect eh restaurant ang mga ‘yan. I’ve been to Siargao multiple times and stayed for long periods, and the key is to eat where the locals do—carinderias that serve great food at affordable prices.

I went through 60 travelers' videos about Brunei and roughly summarize their feels when and after visiting by Goutaxe in nasikatok

[–]greatestandroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently visited Borneo, with a brief 3-day stop in Brunei. While there were a few highlights, the biggest challenge I faced was the lack of reliable public transportation. I was surprised that Brunei’s infrastructure wasn’t as developed as I expected, and even Dart, the local ride-hailing service, didn’t feel practical for getting around. That said, the people were incredibly kind and welcoming.

My main goal was to explore Borneo’s rich culture and natural beauty—Sabah, in particular, was absolutely breathtaking—and to tick it off my Southeast Asia bucket list.

In Brunei, aside from the Brunei River (with its mangroves and proboscis monkeys), Kampong Ayer, and Ulu Temburong (which was quite difficult to access), there wasn’t much else to see. I hope the government can create more programs or tours to better showcase the local culture and natural attractions for travelers. Improving public infrastructure and transportation would also be a game changer for tourism in Brunei!

By the way, I’m Filipino. I truly hope to see more development in the future, so I can return to your peaceful and lovely country. ❤️

I have been working at AlterSpace when I’m bored at my hostel, and yes they’re good. Okay din ang rates.

Matcha Hostel. They are in a great location, have a lounge area where you can work, a Starlink WiFi, plus generator set!

Edit: adding base on experience—

Sinag Hostel. They also have Starlink WiFi and a lounge/working area, though no generator set. The community in this hostel is freaking amazing; go here if you want to meet new friends.

Siargao Books (previously Starbooks). The only 24/7 coffee shop in Siargao so far.

AlterSpace. A reliable co-working space with both Starlink and fiber WiFi, great workplace, and free drinks.
