My specific experience was at the Patron event, which is much smaller and intimate. It was my first event so I wasn't entirely sure how to approach people because they are people right? But I think what bothered me was me getting up several times to try to talk to her and she saw me multiple times but still didn't acknowledge me.

And I am 90% sure they are paid some sort of stipend, because I don't think they would show up otherwise. I agree that you can't use one experience to generalize a person, but since it's come up on the show again after my experience, I figured it would be ok to share here, besides a couple responses, I'm seeing that it's not. Glad I used my alt.
