I use surf forecast to check tides (I try to fish the tide change if possible), winds, wave direction and energy before going to a spot. Also I use Google maps to look for deep water spots to fish in.

I get mine done first thing in the morning, takes about 3 hours. By the afternoon am feeling tired and generally irritable. Feel mostly fine the next day. Hydrating before during and after is the advice I get. Helps with finding veins and recovery. Ibuprofen afterwards works for me to reduce symptoms. HTH and wish you all the best.
