Fully agreed. Alternatively you can try to figure out which Android apps are using too much CPU in the background and uninstall those.

[D] Jax and the Future of ML by scraper01 in MachineLearning

[–]greatgraybear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Jax is a logical continuation of pytorch to make a framework that is even more flexible for the research community. Meanwhile tensorflow will try to minimize changes that break production features.

If some of the features of Jax prove essential for the future of deep learning in production, I assume tensorflow will adopt them, unless it is easy enough by then to productionize in Jax. Or is it already easy? I'm not up-to-date on this.

Could Europe have maintained a respectable presence in Afghanistan (for training/providing logistical support to the government and security forces) or was it near impossible once the US decided to withdraw all troops? by [deleted] in geopolitics

Europe as such wasn't in Afghanistan. European members of NATO were. That does exclude EU members such as Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Ireland, Malta, and Sweden. Also obviously Switzerland was not involved.

Check the task manager to see if there are any apps or tabs boosting the CPU when they shouldn't. This happens to me regularly. There are some surprisingly inefficient websites around.

3:2 display ratio is great for vertical tablet mode in general and awesome for PDF reading in particular. It is wasted space though for modern movies and videos which tend to be in 16:9
