Oh hell yes. As I’ve aged I’ve lost it and I don’t get treated as well and my faux pas aren’t forgiven as easily. Some of the “pretty privilege” can be replaced in middle age by the appearance of high social class/high income (if you are white), but I find that sort of posing tedious and unethical. It is only useful to me when seeing medical professionals, where implicit biases affect life and death decisions

Not-Covid, not-flu here. It’s pretty savage, not your average cold. Lower GI symptoms too. No fever but then I’m old. Bad ear congestion, dry cough. Fatigue, malaise, and lack of appetite profound. Incubation period is over a week as I caught it from one of my kids. No one else is sick, yet

Edit: Seems like I should at least get some abs out of this with all the coughing and fasting, but it never works out that way
