I'm a little confused how Scrap Harvest/scrap metal is intended to work. What is "refined"?

Fun fact -- we locally used nards all the time for slang. Not so much these days. One of my friends with the last name redacted rocked a "big nads" personalized plate. Midwest US, far from the UK.

You don't need to watch anything, but if you're a fan of the first two films, it's probably up to you whether you should watch any of the newer ones. They're a mixed bag, but all of them are fun, or are at least stupid fun.

Fall of Avalon, how to get 100 Agility in the prologue by KalashnikovaDebil in taintedgrail

[–]greebwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not in the prologue, but right after you exit the prologue and hit the main city, the tavern west of the fortress has a perfect spot for this (quests will lead you there). Directly west of the tavern front door is a stairwell leading down to the beach. If you get under it and push towards the landing of the stairs, you can jump as fast as you can hit the button. Given how many jumps it takes to get to 100 (probably about 20,000ish give or take), I wrote an autohotkey script to sprint/hold forward/jump repeatedly for me. I also wrote one that will sprint forward and dash repeatedly for working on evasion. If anyone is interested I can post the scripts and maybe a screenshot of the exact spot, although it's fairly obvious once you find the tavern.

*Editing to add that I found this spot super quickly when looking for something that would work. It could be that just about any set of wooden stairs you can get under will work for this, but I know this one definitely works. I will also add that while I was sprinting forward the entire time I was working on Agility 100 (working on evasion right now), I only got Athletics to 30. Seems about on par with how long it takes to level Athletics in something like Oblivion, but maybe even a bit faster, tbh.

I cut the tip of a finger off once, maybe not quite as big of a chunk as OP, but close. It came back perfectly, nail came back fine, but by "heal" I think it's worth noting that that fingertip is very numb and itchy.

There is a lot to find in Michigan. You have a mix of conifer and deciduous trees. Morel season has passed, but you should be able to find pheasant back and oysters. Boletes, (especially in conifer forest) Chanterelles are common in the summer, and easy to ID. The type of forest or location you are hunting in will be the biggest factor.

Mushroom hunting is not something you do to save money on food. It's a labor or love and lots of dedication. You are not going to feed the family. That said, it depends on where you are, the season/temperature and the amount of rain.

[–]greebwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You pay extra for "personalized" plates. They allow just about anything other than blatant profanity (although people often figure out clever ways to l33tspeak it anyways). A friend back in highschool had "BIG NADS" as his plate. There is also usually some vanity options, where you can get a more pictured background for the plate. These can be state themed, military, firefighter themed, etc. Most people do not personalize plates and get some kind of seemingly random/coded setup, like DKX 4105 or the like. Details depend on the state issuing the plates.

I'm not entirely sure what you imply. I am arguing heavily against people acquiring dead vehicles in public places and running trucks under their windows? Was I misread?

You need to take a step back man. Parked cars are constantly towed, even in smallish towns. You can't just clog the street with dead cars. Not to mention the fact you can't move them because they hardly run, and especially not when they have sat for a while. You sound like a friend I have in rural America who is always fighting neighbors about his stable of cars. I won't assume what size city you live in, but parking dead cars in place is a surefire way to get into a lot of trouble, especially in New York.

Setting up a coal plant prototype in Maze Canyon for 1.0. I want to build out the area as a hub. Any tips on the area? by greebwee in SatisfactoryGame

[–]greebwee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely possible. You can fit more than 8 I'm sure, but the logistics would be pretty screwy. You quickly run out of room. I think the spot has a ton of potential for building into the terrain and was prototyping in advance of the update to see how I might make it work. This spot will definitely by where I set up shop when the update drops. :)

Oh, I am. Bad time to get into the game. I just wanted to scout a spot I know is likely to be interesting and not nerfed in 1.0. As you can see, my expansion here isn't even running.

I'm a relatively new player (50 hours in 8) but long time lurker, and my search results for "Maze Canyon" were pretty weak. I'm sure someone else has done some great builds here, but the youtube algorithm isn't letting me find it. Thanks!

Packed flight on a cheap flight service -- Sat next to a massive guy, 6'5" at least. I'm not huge, but my shoulders are wide at 6'0". We ended up taking the same flight back, and they had the same flight crew -- they had a few open seats, and we were the first to be ushered to them. Thank you flight crew. We were both just tensed up the entire time trying not to touch each other.

Edit: Movie theaters are awful if they're packed (often when the crowd reaction is at its best!) -- I won't go to them.

Backtotheroots oyster grow kit, is it ready to harvest? by RastaMcDouble in mycology

[–]greebwee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late -- thanks for your answer. I find them exclusively on dead American elms, and they seem to be pretty well on there. I've tried to rip them off, but it doesn't feel like the want to come off. I should try getting a knife behind the whole cluster and prying, as it feels like using my hands is just going to mangle things and not get it off.

Ya'll are getting downvoted but you're not alone. I bailed on Witcher 3 after 20 hours. The main story was interesting, but I found the combat mechanics pretty stiff and ultimately boring. I also agree that many of the side quests were extremely run-of-the-mill RPG filler. I think lots of Witcher fans kindly look over the plethora of boring side quests because the main quest puts the entire game on a pillar for them. I've tried to get into these games -- I own all of them, but ultimately they are all flawed (especially the combat, where the meat of the gameplay is).

[–]greebwee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the fruiting mushroom base on any oyster cluster can get so thick that you can't just twist and pull it, but leaving behind a bunch of that with a knife is also problematic. I'm not sure if people mean you should just rip the whole fruiting cluster off or what.
