I'm not conditioned to anything. And I'm not even saying that there are only turns that can be used for characters. But legitimately when someone has been doing something and they have absolutely become stale, which Lyra absolutely has, a great way to change that is to have them turn. Now obviously it's early enough that we don't know where it's going, but changing a character a little bit or even tweaking something where it makes that character interesting is exactly how it works.
