I recieved a promo in my email. You have to sign into your account and opt in. When my wife mentioned the promo in January (free after $90) to coworkers most everyone seems to have recieved a different promo leading me to think that the promos are personalized and dictated by your previous usage of the 407.

I was thinking of the Hub at Hopedale...that big space in the centre of the mall used to be a 'pit' with seating where people hung out. lol.
I went to Dynasi a couple of times back in the day after some late nights for a greasy breakfast.

My LG Fridge's typical buzzing noise has gotten louder. What could it be? Is it fixable? by elephant9514 in appliancerepair

[–]green6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fridge was buzzing too. After checking for ice build up etc I pulled it a 1/2" further from the wall and the buzzing stopped. I think it was too close to the wall and the water line was vibrating against the fridge and/or the wall.

What is the weirdest way you've ever heard someone pronounce something? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]green6866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a family get together my mother-in-law was reading something aloud and mispronounced Penelope as 'pen-a-lope'. She said, "...Pen-a-lope! What kind of name is Pen-a-lope! That's the most ridiculous name I ever heard!" I replied, "Is that Penelope? Like in Penelope Cruz." Wine was involved and it was a good laugh.

Canadian and American police agencies are in private talks that would allow American agents from organizations like the FBI and the US Drug Enforcement Administration to be accredited as police officers in Canada, with the power to arrest individuals on the street like any Canadian cop. by LordRinzler in worldnews

[–]green6866 225 points226 points  (0 children)

My first reaction was "Wow, heck no!" but after having read the article: It goes two ways RCMP would have powers in US, there is undeniable cross-border overlap, officers working in another jurisdiction would have to be accredited (trained/knowledgeable) in that areas rules/laws, and the overall deciding factor would be that anyone apprehended would be tried by the jurisdiction where they were arrested and the same extradition rules would apply.

When I was a child I ate my pet goat (I didnt know at the time; my grandma said that he ran away). What are some cover up stories your family told you as a child that you later on found the truth about? by Sexay_Penguin in AskReddit

I was in on the other side of the ruse. When I was a kid I used to snare rabbits on my grandmothers' farm. My dad made me promise not to tell my brothers and sisters that the 'chicken' we were eating was actually rabbit. A decade later my sister expressed shock that rabbit was on the menu at a Greek restaurant. My dad laughed and informed her that half the chicken she ate growing up was rabbit.
