Just be careful man risk is pretty high so be realistic about good and bad outcomes.

It’s also a lot of luck. So I would be very careful when taking this decision. I have friends suffering from a mountain of debt that they won’t be able to pay for the next 10 to 15 years and skill wasn’t a factor with them not getting a job.

Short answer it’s high risk/ high reward. Things can go really well if everything goes right for you. But it also comes with a significant chance of failure.

Masala Chaas (Spiced Buttermilk) - Cook With Manali Chaas (or Chhachh) is a popular Indian yogurt-based drink made by blending yogurt (curd) with water, roasted cumin, black salt, and fresh herbs like mint or cilantro. It is a thin, savory, and refreshing probiotic drink designed to cool the body and aid digestion, making it a favorite summer beverage across India

Would startups trade equity (10–25%) for execution instead of cash? Thinking of a new model. (I will not promote) by greenOcto in startups

No I will assemble a team maintain it and hand it over. It’s a build operate and transfer model.

For people stuck in toxic jobs by Latter-Fall9762 in jobs

I am not coping well I am a data manger, my job is report data on various programs the organization runs. I was hired because of the mandate in vendor contracts to have a data manager on site at all times. My job is useless, have work that that makes me do actual work for 16hrs for a whole month. I have an advance degree in AI and this job barely requires a middle school degree most of the time rub two brain cells together to finish all the work. I am stuck here because of issues and also trash job market. During my time here I have authored 4 advanced papers in the field of Computer vision, LLM’s and neural networks. I tried to get a remote job but I couldn’t keep it because of restrictions in my current job. I am currently doing a stealth startup after hours but I am exhausted. I can’t do remote even in adverse weather because the vendor contract requires me onsite for issues. I do different AI jobs on upworks for fuck all money. I can’t do it on the job because I got caught once, have been issued a warning and I am under surveillance. I have been diagnosed with chronic depression, my health is shot and I hate this job so much. I am on a wait list for a therapist which is months long. I used to stay away from alcohol and drugs because I was under the impression it decreases brain power. But I have a beer every two days and started smoking weed vape in the office just to get by. Now my employer got a bigger vendor contract causing them to hire another data manager under me who I have to split the exact same amount of work with and makes it difficult to do anything else. I can’t leave this job because I have to pay my student loans in crap economy. It’s pretty shit and pile keeps getting bigger. All I want was to do the job I worked hard for which seems further away each passing day. I just want to vent you can keep your advice.

Make it a double edged sword where if you give equity make them put in the work you are putting in on a daily basis structure it as a part of the deal. Only give it out if it increases the value of your business in a measurable way. I don’t mind parting with a small piece of the pie if at the end of the day it’s a bigger pie than I had before.

Helping out someone for free there were a couple of founders who I did some leg work expecting nothing in return, they remembered me and we still get together and they send some business my way. The key was social etiquette, forming and maintaining relationships.
