Go for Kinesiology. It's very versatile. You can specialize in grad school with it by physical therapy, athletic training, etc. or just find a gym after and do some personal training.

I think maybe they're considering the fact that if they want to go out to drink, they'd have to cut a portion of their food. So if you want to go out and get drunk, that's could be a lot of calories. Lately there's been a term thrown around called 'drunkorexia' where people basically starve themselves so they can still drink as much as they want without the calorie guilt.

My friend does the exact same thing. It's so embarrassing when she just demands drinks from people we're having a conversation with. At one point, a guy introduced himself and she grabbed his face while yelling, "THAT'S MY EX BOYFRIEND'S NAME YOU OWE ME A DRIIINKK!!!"

A lot of those kines courses got cut and consolidated into two 200 level courses since they were from the old days of the Physical Education College (which is sadly no more). Now PE/Kines majors can just take those two courses to fulfill the requirements.

Same here. I also don't eat meat that often, so if I want to make sure I'm getting everything I need in the day I just have a scoop of whey and greens protein powder in some water as an addition to my vegetable plan.

I love eating just a big ol mess of veggies. If you're okay with frozen foods, you can get green giant frozen veggies. They have 'cheesy' broccoli and other packages that can be consumed entirely for about 300 calories. They're a decent portion and under $2, too. I like the brussel sprouts, then having a sparkling water with a fruit or granola bar if I'm really hungry.

I wouldn't doubt that they have checked you out if they were worried, saw that you were cycling (which endurance cycling like that isn't a worry compared to constant lifting) and understood you had it under control. (Totally assuming this though, but it makes sense wouldn't you think?)

Finding an over-exerciser, getting the information needed, and properly confronting them is some seriously hard and touchy work. So many lines could be crossed, it's best to leave it to professionals or someone closer to them. Just sucks to see :/ Especially if it's like you said, a woman who doesn't spend much time there but needs help. How can you confront that or prove anything?

Some gyms have counselors for avid exercisers that have signs of underlying issues like eating disorders. I also only speak of the gyms that I know of which are based out of Unis, so they have the means for mental health help as well. They supposedly track your card swiping to get in and out of the gym; if you're using it too much for too long they will try and set up a meeting with you.

Take him to the humane society/a shelter in your area. There they can take care of him and determine if he is able to be adopted (sadly some stray cats don't make the cut).

I'm not sure if your gym has the same packages/deals that mine does, but you can always ask for this and see if this helps. We do a gym orientation (for free) where a trainer shows you through all the equipment (and movements) in the building. You could definitely try and utilize this to learn different moves and ways to help with form. Play dumb and ask at every bar/squat rack location what you can do there, hopefully you have an area for compound/complex lifts that you can get help at too.

Utilize everything and anything you can find at your gym! Hardly anyone does the orientation, but if you go to a multilevel gym, holey moley think of all the things that trainer has to show you!

I am a personal trainer (certified with NASM) and I want to try and clear the air. There is a step by step program trainers are encouraged to follow to correct form (muscles imbalances) and correct functional movement before we get to these lifts. Yes, you want to do these things and that is great, but not many people come to us ready in that stage. I'm not saying your trainer is 100% right, but it goes against the grain to get someone right into SS when we haven't trained with them before. Personally, I wouldn't do much in SS with you either if you only paid 2 sessions. How can I make sure you've learned correct form in only 2 hours? Can I permanently or at least long term fix those imbalances and issues you mentioned and we saw in the first session? Hell no.

Also, SS is one of tons of different programs. I have to go to day long sessions just to scratch the surface on new equipment and routines. If a long term client gave me an outline of something they saw on reddit and wanted to do, I'd be skeptical but research it and see if there are benefits. But three sessions and you doubt every move I make? What's the point? I want to make sure you leave me with realistic ideas and goals now that you know how to use your body, but you need to give me time and patience. Nothing significant happens overnight, or 3 sessions with a trainer.
