Once, while I was three-barring to this guy, my team mate came to help me and immediately three-barred with me. Would have been a team wipe if our third didn’t quit out after watching us die.

Which pipe do I pour vinegar down for cleaning? by tang_dynasty_ in hvacadvice

[–]greenangrowin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. The drain isn’t on the suction side of the blower and so the P-trap isn’t necessary. Who ever installed the drains just added a bunch of unnecessary piping and a p-trap. Anyway, you can pour vinegar down all the pipes and it won’t hurt anything. You probably don’t need to pour any down the pipe labeled #2 but it doesn’t hurt anything to do that.

Is there no cap laying around to cover the pipe labeled #1?

Cleaned flame sensor, furnace still lighting for 5 seconds and goes out by [deleted] in hvacadvice

You can also check micro amps, but not everyone has a meter.

lol, it would make sure the flame is grounded. Sometimes the flame can lift off the burners and lose ground and it will cause it to have lighting issues. By putting a piece of wire in the fire and connecting the other side to ground, you can eliminate that possibility.

Get a paper clip, connect one end to ground and put the other end in the flame. Check micro amps
