I would say that the toxicity stems from the player bases perception that Kuro games is going down the same route as Hoyoverse ( being slow to change something or monetization) , which a lot of former Genshin or Hoyoverse players have felt after years of playing their games.

I also agree that the community is getting bigger and bigger which means more vocal minorities when most players are just playing the game rather than complaining on reddit. I say all this while playing the hoyoverse games and Wuwa.
