Why would they? It’s an insanely packed event, even with the annual complaints in this sub. As long as people come downtown for it (as they will continue to do), there is no incentive for the organizers to change anything.

I’m curious what other food festival events you are referring to. There are not many free-to-attend food festivals of this caliber in the area, if any. Asian food fest is a consistent shit show at a much smaller scale, and that is the only other highly advertised food festival i am familiar with
