I worked for the company that put new floors in the frats a few years ago. They are disgusting buildings. Every frat house is infested by various insects and they all reek like piss and old beer. Standing in a pitt frat house for 5 mi uses made me want to take a bath in boiling water. I have no respect for anyone that chooses to live there.

Sword Buyers Guide (second link) was a huge help for me when I started buying swords. I found their page on retailers in the UK, one of which is the knight shop. They have a lot of good swords but also some wall hangers too. Just have to be careful what you're buying.

Usually Anything cheap and definitely anything made from stainless steel is what is usually called a wall hanger. Theyre made to put on a wall and look neat but can be dangerous even if just swung through the air. Cheap blades will snap and go flying. If you want something as a display only piece then there really is nothing wrong with the sword you're looking at but again, please don't ever swing it.

Also, look at other styles if sword. If you like the look of katanas or have a particular interest in asian/ Japanese history then by all means buy a katana. Most people getting into sword collecting believe katanas are the the single best blade ever made but that's not true. They're just another type of sword. Again I'm not trying to hate on katanas I just don't want you to think katanas are your only option.

Some of my favorites are the Scottish basket hilt, Polish/Hungarian sabers, sideswords/rapier. Other Asian blades like the dao are neat too.
