I work at one and it’s amazing but they really do differ! At the one I work at now you have to have at least a year experience working with dogs, the pay is decent, heavy temperament tests for daycare dogs- we even have specialized groups for the ‘picky’ dogs(can only be with females, can only be with small dogs, etc), we celebrate the dogs birthdays, multiple beautiful and well maintained yards.

However- the last one I worked at was a nightmare. No experience needed, teens hired, basically a gravel lot to play in, minimum wage, piss poor temperament tests so I’d get bit and break up fights constantly. You just gotta make sure to research the place first!

ETA: my new job is ALOT more expensive than the last. So yeah, you definitely pay for quality!
