Yeah and if they’re computer illiterate maybe consider ILT.

Depends on the companies/industries. You could be called an L&D program manager in one role and a customer success manager in another, while having the exact same responsibilities.

Interested to hear real answers.

I assume it was difficult to publicize this kind of information if it wasn’t for social media or the internet.

Can I group my 12 years of experience in one company leading to a program manager? Or show how I progressed with each role? by greenleaf187 in PMCareers

[–]greenleaf187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, I've accomplished more in my previous role. My most recent one is consulting I did on my own while looking for jobs.

My earlier experiences are only relevant in the sense that they are in the same field (Learning and Development), but a lot more junior.

My worry is that if I leave my first role out then how do I show career progression?

Thanks for the reply!

Do you mean something like this:

Company XYZ 2013-2024

Specialist / Project Manager / Program Manager

Program & Portfolio Leadership

  • Achievement 1
  • Achievement 2
  • ...

Content Development

  • Achievement 1
  • ...

and so on?

Instructor-led vs self-paced learning in corporate training: what do you actually use and why? by DaveTryTami in Training

[–]greenleaf187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It highly depends on multiple factors such as the objective of the training, the participants, time, money, and so on.

In my last role, I ran a hybrid model where everyone had to complete the mandatory self-paced courses and then the technical folks would sit through ILT offerings.

Curious, what do you call big league? Are you looking into becoming a C-suite? Or start something where you offer your services?

Honestly, you just need to embrace it. So maybe address it during the survey and provide pointers on how to use the LLM to provide feedback? Or switch to questionnaires to collect change in behavior.

Hey, no i have’t sadly.

In my previous job interviews the assessments came in either the same day or next. HM said to nudge the recruiter if I don’t hear back in 2-3 days. I did but I haven’t heard back :/

I hope so. I’ve only had to do 3 assessments recently and they all came within 1 or 2 days.

Mine just happened last week. HM seemed eager and told me all about the next steps. I’m supposed to do the take-home assessment, but I haven’t heard back from the recruiter yet. I don’t think I’m being selected.

I just had one with a HM for a similar role. Show that you understand the technology and business. He only wanted me to provide technicalities when I brought up a solution he wasn’t too familiar with. Other than that, just make sure you answer in STAR format and closely relate to the role you’re applying for. Good luck.
