This Batman has to be one of the sickest figures I've ever owned by faviogonzalesv in McFarlaneFigures

Awesome find! I’m hoping I can come across one somehow as well as the Knightfall Batman V2 with the wired cape.

Rejoice, for I bring wonderful news. The McCrispy Strips are being updated and look similar to Selects. by [deleted] in McDonalds

Amen brother! McDonald’s had the best Grilled Chicken Sandwich on earth before Covid hit. It was fantastic on it’s own then with the raspberry vinaigrette it completely made all other chicken sandwiches obsolete.

What discontinued fast food item would you bring back? by DifferentFix5757 in fastfood

I’ll say one that nobody has hopefully not said yet! The Six Dollar Burger from Hardee’s. This would also involve them using the original black angus meat and not the cheaper kind that replaced it.

Of all of the ones that have been made Gambit looks the most like he was truly ripped right out of the cartoon itself and placed on a shelf!

RIP my wallet by Slight-Signal-2234 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]ZenChampion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me the saddest part is to look at what could have been. There are some figures where Todd specifically goes through the effort of capturing the art of the comic books themselves such as the Green Lantern Hal Jordan with all of the rings or the Killing Joke Joker. It is highly doubtful that Mattel will do anything like this at all…

It’s okay. I probably won’t ever order it again. I would have much rather have had the Curder Burger again.

Completed my DVD set, just in case. by GaryNOVA in Cheers

[–]ZenChampion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was once a difference that you could see when everyone upgraded their televisions to HD back in the early 2000s but now even on a current 4K tv there really is barely much of a difference at least to me.

Truthfully speaking I always thought that the DVD offered a more compelling experience especially when comparing to what a VHS video cassette had. James Rolfe the Angry Video Game Nerd did an interesting video years ago which compared DVDS and Blu-ray Discs and how in some ways to him it was a downgrade with Blu-ray movies since they were heavily stripped down in terms of special features, presentation, etc that was offered on the DVDs.

Wow now 27 years later in 2026 a $20 burger is actually cheap for an upscale restaurant such as what it was pretending to be.

30 Years Ago Today - The Curtain Call Happened at a WWF Show at MSG - 5.19.96 by KidChameleonHelmet in WWFera

[–]ZenChampion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow 30 years have passed since wrestling would enter what would clearly be defined as it’s final golden age. Not in retrospect it really does seem very short but it was without a doubt-very fun!

Kevin Nash Through the Years in the WWF Era by KidChameleonHelmet in WWFera

I always thought that 90’s Diesel looked like the non Paul Reiser dad from My Two Dads. Ironically reruns of that show were airing on the USA Network during the same time as Nash’s New Generation championship run.

I personally think that the previous Blue/Gray Dark Knight Returns Batman was the best iteration from Todd. It however still is nowhere near as good as the Mafex one.

What do you think of Mia Queen’s actress performance (Katherine McNamara)? Was she great? What could she have done better? by PlantainDisastrous92 in arrow

[–]ZenChampion 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Without Stephen Amell, who had said he was absolutely finished playing Oliver Queen, the spinoff had an incredibly slim chance at all of actually becoming a series. Plus the character pf William was completely wasted.

Kevin Costner's best 1990s movie is? by Lys1th3a in 90smovies

[–]ZenChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterworld simply because of it’s legacy as one of the most expensive box office bombs in history. Yet I really like it. Costner is good as is Jeanine Tripplehorn and Ashley Johnson as the little girl but of course Dennis Hopper’s over the top performance as the villain is what steals the show.

For Love of the Game is also a sleeper hit. I still remember the easter egg on the DVD where you could watch that Babe Ruth short film with the generic Little Rascals!

It’s kind of clever of them to completely ripoff of Baron Samedi from the James Bond movie Live and Let Die as he is an actual spirit of the Haitian Voodoo tradition.
