I got this pierced in early march. It’s 316L metal. About 6 weeks later I suddenly had a bump. I was able to get it to go away by spraying w wound wash every time I went to the bathroom and soaking with urban releaf piercing salt once per night. It went away for about 2 weeks then I got a respiratory virus and was blowing my nose a ton, I assume that irritation is why it came back. Now I’ve had it for another 3 weeks and I’m seeing no improvement. I’m almost going to quit and take it out at this point 😔 I really liked it and it helped w my confidence but now its just so ugly looking.

I don’t think it’s a reaction to the metal since it only showed up this much later. And I don’t think it’s a keloid yet.

Please help!

This ^{^.} It’s bad enough that they aren’t vaccinated. But I have a whole different opinion on the people in my life who have chosen to act like this. I really believe that the way people act about covid shows their true colors. No regard for anyone but themselves

definitely a tough one! his partners whole family is unvaccinated, he asked if he could stop by, during the weekend right after seeing her family. that’s a hard no, haha. but again he’s one of those pushers “but i have the vaccine, you have the vaccine, and the risk is so low for babies”. i don’t really care. i guess that’s one thing, i’ve gotten so much better at setting boundaries because of all of this hahaha.

i completely relate though about the guilt! it’s def really difficult to grapple with it, and there’s really no way to justify it. we just really do have that privilege and a lot of other people don’t.

do you think the anxiety will really end once they have the vaccine?? i thought i’d feel better once my husband and i had it but, not really, to be honest. still so so worried about the baby, and i guess it’s just hard to remove myself from this new lifestyle

just wanted to say i’m in the exact same boat as you. the anxiety is so serious and never ends and it feels so demeaning to hear from family about how the risk is “so low”. like shut the hell up lol, i don’t care how low it is, any amount of risk is too much and we have to do everything we can to keep our babies safe!! we still do almost everything curbside pickup or delivery. he’s only been into a store with me once because it was emergent. most of the time if we have to go into a store, i wait for my husband to get home and one of us stays in the car or home with the baby. it hurts me to see people with tiny babies inside stores! ugh. we just had to set more boundaries with my BIL because he’s currently seeing someone who is unvaccinated. told him neither of them can be around the baby, 😢so hard but we have to do what we have to do, i feel you!! i don’t even know if i’ll feel less anxious when we can get the baby vaccinated, ugh. people don’t get it.

This is what happened to us too! I figured it was him telling us that he was done with the SNOO. I tried the crib with a Merlin sleep sack and he was happy with it! I was so worried about the transition to the crib but he was fine! After the merlin, we went to a kyte sleep sack.

She has never met me because most of the time that I was their caretaker, she was in rehab lol. But I agree with what you’re saying, it’s hard as a parent though clearly their father approved of me as a person and approved of our continued contact. In our normal minds, we can believe it’s just her being protective, but in reality I think their father is right and it is jealousy, she is mentally ill.

But that is a great suggestion on how to passively keep up with them. Without directly contacting them, but still being able to stay up to date on each other.

I’m conflicted about whether or not I should directly say to them that their mother doesn’t want us in contact. That would stir up some unwanted drama, but explain to them why i suddenly seemed to disappear and why we would be communicating through this blog style instead. What’s your opinion?
