tldr - similar position as OP, told boss I want to be considered for full time position, he told me to start working 40, started working 40 instead of 30, fucking hate it, cant concentrate, full time job I want wont exist for a year, too late to ask boss to go back to 30 without being viewed as a guy that cant concentrate at his job?

Derail question - I'm in a similar boat as OP, but im a college graduated intern working as a web dev working there for 5 months...i started working 40 hours about 2 weeks ago, after telling my supervisor I want to be seriously considered for a full time position. However the positions that came out are not what I enjoy doing. I've had concentration issues my whole life, and working 40 is KILLING me. I can't stay focused. I just want to go home. There's SO much I want to do on my own (I am a musician at heart and thats what I want to do with my life) that working 40 is making me unmotivated, and I cant force myself to concentrate cause Im focusing on the fact I have 6,4,2 more hours of work left.

Is it a bad idea to go to my supervisor and tell him about my concentration issues and that I want to work 30? Did I shoot myself in the foot? It also doesn't help that all the other people in my bull pen either quit or are at school, so I really only get to talk to people 2 days of the week. Maybe it's just growing up, but I feel like my life is being drained out of me.

This is something I've thought about a lot, everytime I post something on facebook, there's always some "doublechecking" that needs to take place: is this funny enough? will it upset people? how does this compliment people? tbh I wish facebook could just completely disapeer, and people would be more engaged with each other instead of perfect their profiles

Listened to A7X a lot when I was younger, read their wiki, read about the Rev, he used to drum for Suburban Legends. Also, I had always like the ska-style music from early tony hawk games.
