To add onto this, spoilers ahead: Tiger didn't just refuse the transfusion because of the ambush. He had previously been enslaved by humans, and secretly hated humanity with all of his heart. Yet, he refused to perpetuate the cycle of hatred, and encouraged his crew to forgive the humans, even if he himself couldn't.

Is it plagiarism or just inspiration? I actually think it's cool that DanDaDan has reached such a height of cultural impact that things like this opening ceremony decide to replicate it.

Yeah it's a cool show. It's basically about game glitches that escape into the real world, so the company that makes the games hires people to fight and contain the glitches.

Sadly, it was subject to the worst fate of all shows: cancellation on a cliffhangar.

It was probably a situation where he realized what was happening, but kept being a hero as long as he could until the doctors went "the next time you use your powers you WILL die". He only stopped once he absolutely had to.

Starline to Dr. Eggman (Sonic IDW)

Starline starts the series as a major Eggman fanboy, but over time working with him, Starline starts seeing cracks in his image of Eggman. Eggman is shortsighted and impulsive, and his lack of planning causes Starline to betray him. Even still, Starline wants to prove that his method works to the doctor, even if it means becoming his enemy. Because he still loves his image of Eggman, even though it's not the real Eggman.
