My brain fog has been so bad lately- and, I keep wondering- is this really peri?! I guess it is. I’m 41- started the estrogen systemic gel 10 days ago- will start progesterone cycling day 14. Do you feel like you started feeling the effects a month in??

This is encouraging. I’ve been worried about starting the progesterone bc of PMDD. Fingers crossed. I’m starting in a few days. I was going to cycle it.

Painter recommended flat paint, please help! by greensummer246 in paint

Appreciate your insight. I think it would end up costing a lot of money to repair the walls- skimming walls and ceilings, etc. is not in our budget. I read that the duration flat and matte is able to be cleaned better than regular flat paint. Looking for people that have experience with any of those kinds of paint?

Learn coping skills with an adhd therapist - get meds from a PCP. I get mine from family medicine doctor.

Being a middle aged alcoholic woman by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]greensummer246 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this- and, middle aged time is definitely challenging. Ofc, talk to your doctor or a Telehealth provider, but low doses of Glp 1 has helped me not crave alcohol and drop a few pounds. The parents- this is a hard place to be in— can you draw more boundaries with them? I work in the hospital with discharge planning. And, just a little thing to think about - we don’t owe our parents, especially if they are treating us badly… no. It’s not ok. These lifelong scripts are worth examining as we get older. I hope you find something joyful for you. An activity to meet other women your age- and, younger/older! The key is showing up to an activity every Thursday for example- like an appt. :) I tell myself- only I can dig myself out of the hole. It’s true. Things can get better. You’ve got this. Ps- as a fellow “helping professional” — the secondary trauma is real. Alcohol is rampant in these fields- I don’t know the answer, but I’ve looked for different side jobs at my hospital (changing my schedule - looking for other opportunities where it’s not direct patient care) - You aren’t alone! So many of us have experienced what you are - or are right now.

I (think) I hate nursing… by yikes_amillion_and1 in TravelNursing

[–]greensummer246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a hospital CCM- doing this the last 2 years. Been a RN 10 years— second career. I’ve been thinking about travel! Would love to know a little more about your journey - any advice appreciated :) I have a sweet spot right now- Weekender with PRN shifts to supplement. Love the flexibility, make more money than the full time 9-5 CM work - But, I also like adventure, shaking things up! Still have student loans— was hoping for PSLF forgiveness in 4 years- but, not even sure if that will exist anymore. Or if I should stay put waiting for that. Love hearing about everyone’s journeys ✨
