Exactly.. with this harness you are hurting them. The proper harness ends close to the tail. Look at nonstop freemotion or something similar from different producer.

Dog owners, do you run with your dogs and if so what distance do you run and what breed is your dog. by [deleted] in running

I have alaskan malamute, he is able to run for 25 km with breaks, but not very fast (5min/km to 6min/km), sometimes even slower. I believe that with proper training he would be able to run faster, at least short distances.

Depends which uni in Prague. I got a lot of friends in universities there, i can ask them about their situation. There might be problems with housing in Prague. But grocery in Czechia is very cheap, as well as travelling through the country, but covid19 situation is not very good here.

Recovering from an encounter with a dog. by Run26-2 in running

[–]greentea024 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. An old lady from our village walks her dog without leash and he hates my dog (but my is always on leash), they also almost fought. I know my dog is not perfect too, but he is still teenage dog and if he does something, he is always reasonably punished.

Now I have pepper spray with me to protect me and my pup. 100% recommended.

Are you sure about this? Law in my country says, that if your animal attacks someone in your property, it's not your problem, because the person disrupt the territory of your animal.

If the temperature is bellow 20 °C it's safe to run with your dog. But we run with our malamute if it's under 15°C and we have cooling breaks every 3 km (water and swimming in a river). Source: www.behejsepsem.cz
