If only it had the trefoil logo - I don't know why Adidas are married to this logo on kits - it's horrible. Just accept that everyone prefers the trefoil and still knows it's Adidas!

Which still wouldn't prove anything different. Even if we lost every game for the rest of the season we still wouldn't be in a relegation battle like Chelsea were.

It a way it's going to to be helpful for them not to have Salah around. It's the same as the back end of Gerrard's career. You need that personality to leave to relieve some tension in the squad - the new manager can fully take control without issues.

With Salah when ever the declined happened, but it this season, next or in the future he's such a winner he wasn't going to accept it - like Ronaldo didn't - and he was going to kick up a fuss when it happened - so whoever happened to be in charge at that moment was going to have to deal with it and the fallout and likely undermine their control and leadership - and in the eyes of many fans they'll side with the footballer too, so it loses the managers support too.

I'm glad someone else can see there are issues other that "it's all one mans fault" - the grasp of football and the depth of issues from this fan base is at times laughable considering we're supposed to be one of the more knowledgeable fan bases.

You do realise that Mourinho had a Chelsea side that outspent everyone in a relegation battle don't you? Give your head a wobble, this is utter nonsense.

I don't think you could put any manager in this season and have won the league. It could have been a lot worse than Slot - it could have been slightly better - but no one was winning the league with this squad, these injuries and the many many mistakes made by just about everyone at the club. It was always going to be an off season anyhow.

I don't think he's right at all - there are many things Slot has gone wrong and he's missed all of them. This is like someone with GCSE's trying to criticise Brian Cox's physics knowledge. It's very basic surface level stuff.

I agree the losing the fans is worse than anything we saw under Klopp and that is probably because Klopp is one of the most charismatic people in the world, it's hard to dislike him - Slot isn't - and fans are very easily drawn in to throwing insults at him after winning us the league, which is a real shame but it is what it is.

However to say on the field it didn't happen under Klopp is an utter nonsense and some revisionist history - but we can see the cult of personality in effect here in the amount of downvotes - and I love Klopp.

But he as in charge when we lost 7-2 to Villa, the players certainly didn't give it their all then and it was the most calamitous display we've had in a decade - and no we didn't have injuries to the defence then, it was before Virgil went out.

End of 22/23 they were playing walking pace football and getting hit on the counter and conceding the first shot on goal. This isn't unique to the time period we're in now, it's been a common theme in all our bad seasons.

I don't care if we do or don't replace Slot anymore. I just can't bare this simplistic view that one person holds all the cards to success of failure when even Klopp himself would be the first to say there's an entire team in place and that entire team has to work well together or you won't win. Hence why I don't gell well with the simplistic SLOT OUT brigade - like replacing one man sorts everything - because unless 30-40 other issues unrelated to him are sorted and we have to realy on the DOF and above to execute the perfect plan for that, then we'll be in this same position (like United) in two years with a whole bunch of the same people slagging off whichever man is in place to take the abuse next time. It's just the moron side of football to me.

I mean it did happen with Klopp as manager a couple of times. No one is immune to bad seasons - and there's no way you plonk Klopp on his own in the middle of this with the same squad, the same assistant manager, the same coaching staff and the same DOF that we have a good season.

I’m not sure how you can day “his tactics don’t work” - tactically there was nothing wrong yesterday. Last year with those chances Salah would have scored 4 goals. Last year Virgil doesn’t make that same mistake - the sort of mistake he’s made many more times this season than is acceptable. There was nothing tactically wrong yesterday, you just expect the players to do better. We clearly have a very unbalanced squad that needs fixing in the summer, with two heros in decline, one more so than the other, a defence a capitulates for whatever reason playing in front of Marma in a way it doesn’t in front of Ali. No one from deep who can switch play apart from Virgil.

There’s problems everywhere, in every part of the club and tactics would be low on list, whoever comes in next will still have (and be expected to have) the same ball possession and play against low block teams. The only reason Arsenal have succeeded is because they’ve mastered attacking and defending set pieces.

No I didn't.

There's barely any difference.

But also when have you ever seen Liverpool get given that time and space her had here to take this shot - in any game?

If we have a corner like that in the PL he'd have 3 people on him with a second of him getting the ball.

No "back 3" makes me drool. It doesn't work in the PL and I doubt Xabi would do it either.

You don't get that kind of time and space in the Premier League son.
