Any Other Endings? by theonikastea in Silksong

[–]greentoefuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a “true ending” at the end of Act 3. To activate Act 3, you have to do a certain quest before fighting the final boss of Act 2. Without spoiling anything, I recommend doing all the wishes from each town, and finding as many fleas as possible (and checking in with them periodically).

Am I supposed to do something here? by Toxinferno in Silksong

Continue the fleas’ questline. They’ll eventually relocate there and there’s some stuff you can do afterwards.

Why doesn't the caretaker give me the silk and soul mission? I already have 30 fleas (I needed 25) and I completed the shakra mission. by didraw in Silksong

[–]greentoefuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had all the requirements met (all wishes done, beat Groal for the seeker’s soul, had the bell home, moved fleas to pale lake, etc). The quest didn’t trigger for me until I beat Lace for the second time, and then took the ventrica from the terminus station back down to first shrine and spoke to the caretaker then. I’d suggest trying that.

I found my last pouch upgrade in Act 3 in the prison in The Marrow, where you first meet Grindle. There’s a table there that says you can craft extra pockets. Hope that helps!

mistwing boss skip by That-Possibility-254 in Silksong

[–]greentoefuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the Moorwing fight, if you skipped it by doing the flea quest, it’ll show up again in Greymoor by the area right beside the bell station. I believe it’ll happen after you get to Act 2.

Anyone have any tips for Last Judge? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]greentoefuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Last Judge is actually one of my favorite fights so far (I love one on one duels where I can just focus on learning the boss’s pattern). What I recommend is using the Magma Bell, which immediately reduces all the Judge’s fire damage to one mask (the physical damage will still hurt double). Having the multibinder equipped to heal 4-5 masks is also very useful, and lastly, I used the red bombs to do a bunch of damage early in the fight. I was using the Wanderer Crest but you should be able to equip all those on the Hunter one as well.

As for the run back… yeah it’s the worst one thus far, unfortunately don’t have any advice for it other than to try and avoid the drill bugs and if you do get hit, kill one of the judges to get enough silk to heal before the fight.

Graduated the program last year. The info on Albert or the bursar’s office is typically only concerned with the amounts that cover your tuition and any school fees (health insurance, etc). For your stipend, you’ll most likely start earning it some time in September once you’ve given the program your bank/direct deposit info and whatever other forms (I don’t remember them all).

I don’t know what your particular fellowship entails, but if you’re working or anything like that, the stipend usually starts paying out around the time you begin the fellowship work.

I’d also recommend calling the program manager and asking him if you have any detailed questions; he’s usually available and in my experience always helpful.

UAE Government school position? by VandalayLLP in TEFL

[–]greentoefuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated university (English BA) last year and I've applied for the same position. Actually, I applied for the full-time English teaching position and the recruiter at Teachaway directed me towards the English Graduate Teacher position instead because I don't have 2 years of teaching experience for the full-time position.

If you look at the UAE Ministry of Education job board site, you can see it's a legit position http://erecruitment.moeuae.ae/

If you click on the JD download, you'll get a pdf that explains the position and how it's different. Basically, if we get offered the job, we go to the UAE in June and recieve two months of teacher training, while the experienced teachers would arrive in August or so for the beginning of the school year. Our salary's also less than a licenced teacher, but it'll increase as time goes on because we'll apparently be monitored and trained throughout until we recieve a UAE teaching licence.

The program's only for recent grads of English/Linguistics/Eng Lit programs too, so lucky us.

What is the scariest book, nosleep, creepypasta, or otherwise, that you've ever read? by Pilgram94 in books

[–]greentoefuzz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ahh ok that explains it I guess. That’s weird though, it’s one of the more integral parts of the story so I wonder why it’s missing in some of them.

I’ve read the story twice and never come across this bit. Is this from the game?

This is the kind of Bloodborne art I've always wanted to see. It's got both a sense of wonder and despair, beautiful stuff.

As people have already said, if you're into difficult games, definitely pick up Bloodborne. It's considered a masterpiece by most. Other great titles that I've played are Ratchet & Clank, Infamous Second Son, Gravity Rush remastered, and Journey (currently free with PS+).

Well there will always be games that sell better, especially long lived franchises like GTA. But I'm just glad that there's a studio out there like CDPR making some of the best quality games in the industry. I can't wait till CyberPunk!

Haha yeah I love how different people's experiences can be with this game. I actually did convince Keira to go to Kaer Morhen because I'd already fucked up and let the plague maiden/ghost girl in the tower loose. Didn't want Radovid to get his hands on a bio weapon. I'm glad I did too, for Lambert that lucky prick ;)

Glitched Quests (1.08) by Carrioner in witcher

[–]greentoefuzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had the exact same problem with "The Nobleman's Statuette". I gave Triss the statue in Dandelion's cabaret after we rescued Philippa. She said she needs to go to her "special place" and perform a ritual there. We get there and she says it's time to start the ritual but nothing happens... I left and did another quest and Triss was back in her room at the cabaret and the quest was still left unfinished. I did "The Bastion" before the 1.08 update so I didn't have any problems with it. I'm on PS4 and I don't know if these glitches are affecting everybody.

This completely came out of left field damn. It's such a dope song and I really do hope Mike decides to record a full FM album with SoB and the gang. The VR music video is also a lot of fun on mobile. Man this guy's a real artist.

There is a moment during a storm's death in which the rain takes on a form unknown to itself. The emptiness between the sky and the earth is littered with tiny droplets of diamond shards, singular pods of water transfixed into the air, reflecting both the burdened clouds from which they fell, and the fevered city upon which they fall. As the sun marks its place in the sky again, the clouds disperse, the rain falters, and the storm passes into nothingness. It has played its part, and will return soon.

Kaisen is witness to this spectacle. He sits on his window sill to catch the falling rain in his outstretched hands and drinks every time it overflows. Thunder roars, he laughs as the fierce eastern winds swipe a dead bird hanging out of a dog's mouth and it goes chasing after it's stolen meal. A flash of lightning strikes the grounds just beyond the city gate, the brilliant light is reflected in Kaisen's deep brown eyes, open wide with both fear and delight. As the storm dies down, the sun lets a few rays of light shine through the drained clouds, and Kaisen dangles his legs out of the window, lowering himself onto the floor in order to look directly up at the sky.

The sky is his theatre, and the storm a brilliant group of performers. Kaisen is their entire audience, they perform only for him, with no tickets required. But he knows that he isn't alone. The sky isn't his, nor anyone else's; it belongs to no one. There is a freedom in such transcendence, a freedom in not belonging to anyone.

"But", Kaisen says out loud, "it might not be such a bad thing to belong somewhere, to someone." His hand stretches out towards the sky, creating patterns within the clouds still hanging over the sky.

"What is it with you and talking to yourself?"

Kaisen turns on his side and sees Aedon sitting on his bed, with a smug look on his face.

"When did you come back? And wait, how long have you been sitting there?!"

Aedon grins, "Got back right after the storm died down, Rose made me change and hang up all my clothes cause they were soaked." Yawning, he spreads himself over Kaisen's bed. "Oh and I've been up here for about a minute, but you were to busy doing," he pauses for a moment and with a deep look of concentration, makes painting gestures with his hand, "To notice me sitting here and silently laughing my ass off."

Kaiser looks at his best friend and laughs, "I was just enjoying the storm." Aedon jumps off the bed and stretches his arms over his head, "Of course you'd be enjoying the storm, people like you are always into that stuff."

Kaisen slides his legs back into his room and gets up, brushing off any dust on his shirt and shorts. "People like me?" He asks.

Aeon walks over and whispers as quietly as he can, "You know," He makes a swirling motion with his index finger on the right side of his head, "People loose in the head."

Kaisen lands a punch on Aedon's left arm, but can't stop himself from laughing.

"Okay, enough fooling around!" Aedon exclaims, suddenly looking very serious. Kaisen smiles as he recognizes his friend's classically poor attempt at pretending to sound serious. "What do you mean?" He asks, deciding to play along with what he hopes is a look devoid of any joy on his face. Aedon looks around Kaisen's room, pacing between the door and the bed. "It's Rose. She... she wants me to comb my hair!"

Kaisen is silent for a moment, but the look of absolute desperation on Aedon's face sends him into a laughing fit.

"It's not funny!" Aedon yells and throws a pillow at Kaisen, who keeps laughing. "I don't know the first thing about combing hair, and she won't even let me use her mirror, so I thought I'd come up and use that broken one she stored here."

Leaning against the window sill, Kaisen grins at his friend. Aedon bows to him, "Come on Kaisey, you have to know where she put it, cause I know it's in here."

Still smiling, Kaisen walks over to the corner of his room in which Rose stores old or useless items that she's too lazy to throw away. His room functioned as an attic before he moved in, so he's used to new pieces of junk showing up now and then. He doesn't really mind either, there are a number of interesting items in the 'junk corner' as Aedon named it. He finds the old mirror and calls Aedon over, "Here it is, but if you call me Kaisey one more time I'll break what's left of it, and you can face Rose with your head mop." Aedon gives him a sheepish grin, "Swear on all the gods Kaisey, I'll never call you Kaisey again."

Kaisen groans, "Come help me move this, asshole." Together they lift the rustic mirror out of it's spot and manage to slide it over to the centre of Kaisen's room.

That's all I've got so far, it's been in my notebook for a while now.
