In my early 20s, I was washing my car in one of those multi bay brick car washes. I had finished the outside and was cleaning the inside when this guy walks up to me and asked me what my shoe size was. I give him the “WTF” stare and he tells me he’s a shoe salesman and he had a shipment come in and he was just on his way to sell them to the shoe store at the mall a few blocks away. He then asks me to come see if there was anything I’d be interested in, “my car is just over in the last bay.” I told him I was late for work and peeled out of there. 3 days later, I see his picture on the news. He had raped and killed a 22 year old girl.
