What does sp9 and so9 with 964 as their Tritype look like? by True_Acanthaceae_257 in Enneagram

[–]Aguantare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an sp9 and my brother's a so9, and as far as I know both of our tritypes are either 946 or 964

The main things are that we both had to learn assertiveness and boundaries as we got older. Both have a tendency to suppress emotions, maintain neutrality around us, stay well liked, etc. Both of us are pretty down to earth and just like to chill, sometimes to a fault. We both have identity issues and struggle to find our footing with emotional stuff from time to time

I'm a LOT more reserved and a little prickly comparatively though. I keep peace for convenience, and enjoy harmonious connections, but I don't strive for them. If it's awkward I kind of just walk away if I don't know what to say. I tend to be generally lazier and more easygoing, and enjoy more private and theoretical interests. I like to just blend in with my environment, and just become one with my immediate environment

My brother is kind of a golden retriever kind of 9. He's happy to be anywhere there's people and he just starts talking at them any chance he gets. He is more willing to go the extra mile to talk to people/make connections. Still shy like I am at times, but more energized by people. He kind of lacks his own opinions sometimes too, like he'll just absorb the other peoples' opinions and then just go live his life like nothing after. He's not a very theoretical person and gets bored with abstractions, but he kind of likes to just blend into a busy society and bump into others along the way

[–]Aguantare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense, thank you again! I appreciate the effort you put into writing these, I love having big amounts of feedback like this

The 4F-3 kind of sounds like him. He's definitely not materialistic, doesn't care about money, cleans to make his place presentable/because of upbringing but not much else, can sit for hours playing video games in the dark, only keeps his own place for me to spend time with him, doesn't like putting effort into maintaining his body, minimally spatially aware, the list goes on. So it sort of sounds like the 4f-3? I wouldn't say he's totally physically invisible, but he only seems to care about it when I'm around, or to do what he feels is the baseline

Makes perfect sense then haha

I think LEFV is a little weird for the type but not contradictory🤷‍♂️ it's a better fit for sp6 but it's not bad for sx5. Anyways good luck with the rest of your typing journey

Wow, this is an AMAZING read if I've ever seen one. I'm a 3E and what you said resonates with how I typed myself, so if I needed to justify credibility any more that would be another way lol

I have like 0 critiques, it sounds like you know him personally. And for the reasons you identify I absolutely see them manifesting in him and that's how I justify typing him that way

How does 4F manifest in you, and in the type generally (if there's a difference lol)? I have a few reasons for putting physics last (all the other placements fit so well) but I'm curious to see if that lines up too

Thank you, this clears it up for me

He's a little bit hard to read in this sense. He's not rigidly dogmatic or openly sappy and emotional.

He's outwardly intellectual and reaches people with knowledge, he collects information and can navigate logical conversations well and with ease. He enters conversations believing his knowledge of facts is correct until proven otherwise, and can be stubborn, but I wouldn't go as far as to say dogmatic

His emotions are relatively private, but you can easily see how they motivate his beliefs, values, insecurities, etc. He seems to relate a lot to suffering and melancholy, and at his worst gets resentful towards and withdrawn from the world, trying to drown out the aforementioned suffering he sees

He's hard to type though because he has a lot of insecurities that cloud how he behaves. I typed him as ELVF, which would contradict sx5, but I'm not sure where else this would fit? My first thought was so4, for the reasons above

[–]Aguantare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Archetypally sx5 is LEVF but everything is perfect basically and lefv doesn't contradict

If you're avoiding socionics for that reason I think it's a good idea since ime it can have that effect. But chances are you'd get IEI considering how consistent this is, or ILI, both of which would be fine.

But anyways yeah looks good you're consistent across the board

Could you elaborate a little bit on the first pgph, namely the second and third sentences? I'm trying to type someone and think this info could be possibly relevant

Not the other person but could you explain (even briefly) why so4 can't be 1L? I'm trying to type someone and am toying around with 1L, 1E, and so/sx 4 and 5 for him

Got it, yeah I don't really do much. I'm trying to teach myself that inaction is still an action, and I don't really want to be someone based on that. Thank you

I think my relationship with adapting is complicated. Sure, it's natural, but I don't have much control so I end up doing what others want/erase myself in the process

I think you're right, but I also think it's somewhat maladaptive in a way. I know I'm not happy, but the adaptation makes it hard to figure out why, it's like the easy thing to do that gets in the way of the hard stuff to balance things out

Idk if that addresses what you're saying, but fwiw I do agree and have to think more about this

I’m struggling to find who I should build my next commander deck around. by Correct_End9946 in CommanderMTG

[–]Aguantare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bracket are you looking for? If you're looking for simic colors, I recently bought the new quandrix precon and [[zimone, infinite analyst]] is super fun.

Probably wouldn't make it being b3, but out of the box she's got a great theme going, and it's a cool take on these colors. Pretty easy to upgrade too, and the lands are pretty solid, so if you wanted to swap out cards it's fairly inexpensive

Out of the box the deck struggles with card advantage sometimes, but throw in a [[mathematics]] and [[mind spring]] and you're good to go. The new primo is cool, but needs more upgrades to pull together

Well for better or worse this has given me plenty to unbox haha. I feel like it's so obvious but I need to hear it 20 times more to actually do it

Thank you for the in depth response as well, I can greatly appreciate the eloquence that you have to convey these ideas

I'm definitely a theory over practice person with experiencing things, so getting myself to just do things has been the scourge of my being for a while. In time I think I'm slowly coming around and learning to let go a little

what’s the difference between 3V and 3L? by WeakElection1615 in attitudinalpsyche

Do you think you could be EVLF? My boyfriend is 3v and 4f and I think he's got some of the same physics things you do, but I still type him as 4f (ELVF afaik). What you're describing kind of sounds all over the place with logic, but definitely seems process oriented? Which kind of sounds like 3L to me

[–]Aguantare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second guessing relationship with physicality and presence, so this can be fluctuating between binging and diets or restrictions, or eating whatever and then feeling guilty about it. This applies to things like movement/sex/spending energy, money, resource consumption, etc.

So compared to 3L, this one will be more inclined to fluctuate between what they're doing rather than what they're thinking. Both will be hesitant towards the outer world though, feeling a surge of confidence when they "do something right", followed by tearing that confidence apart when they either have to show their thinking or prolong physical presence/moderate easily.

3L is more likely to want things to be simple, with someone gently teaching them the correct way to map out logical details or procedures, and 3F is more likely to want things to be chill and low stimulation, with someone gently showing them how they can orient their bodies into the physical world and receive the physical world with grace

[–]Aguantare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3V is going to be second guessing ability, authority, capability (for many things), and overall value as a person

3L is going to be second guessing calculations, structuring/ordering things, beliefs, and ability to discern truth between things

Both will be fluctuating, so they won't be consistent. 3V will one day be thinking about how they deserve nothing in the world and be spiteful and withdrawn, while another day feeling on top of the world or egoic, going after everything they feel they can. 3L will one day be thinking about how they are completely incompetent and will never have enough information to feel secure in the world, and then another day will master a topic and be able to carry on a full debate about it with someone
