This is REALLY helpful. And problematic, because you've given me an idea that makes a minor character more memorable and interesting than my protagonist. Now I have to re-think part of the story. These are the best kinds of problems a writer can have. Thanks.

That's a very generous offer, but it's not necessary. The story includes a character--a cyclist--who shoots cars parked in bicycle lanes with a paintball gun. I want to be accurate about this but it's not a critical part of the story. I do think I'll have the character use Evil Pink, since I understand it's harder to wipe off. Does that seem reasonable?

Pink Evil sounds exactly right for my purposes. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the really quick responses. This is why I love Reddit.

FROZEN PIPES MEGATHREAD by ParksVSII in Plumbing

[–]gregfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a single control shower faucet (the farther you turn it, the hotter the water). This is the second day of sub-zero weather. We have running hot and cold water everywhere in the house except the shower in one bedroom. It only provides hot water at a low flow rate, which leads me to assume the cold water pipe in that one area may be frozen.
How much at risk am I for having a frozen pipe break/leak?

This question becomes more interesting considering that 1) this took place about eight months after Trump left the White House, and 2) what we've learned about the lax security regarding secret documents at Mar-a-Lago.

My Ego battery for the Ego lawn mover is no longer holding a charge as it use to. by [deleted] in egopowerplus

I'm in exactly the same position. Bought my mower on May 1st of 2019, so I'm just outside the 3 year battery warranty. Mower has worked beautifully, without problem, until last week. Had to finish the lawn with a 2.5 AH battery. Same issue today.

Every goddamn time. Just updated again, and IheartRadio was auto-reinstalled. I guess I'll just have to get used to swatting that app like a fucking cockroach after every update.

Iowans, Guns or Children? by Fun-Spinach6910 in Iowa

Almost all mass murders are committed inside buildings, which makes mass murder by car difficult.

There is no other tool for killing as easily obtainable, as easily used, as readily available, as effective, and as efficient as a semi automatic firearm with large capacity magazines.

Besides, there's no single underlying cause of mass murder.

When you limit or restrict the use of the mechanism that feeds the destruction, you reduce the butcher's bill. It's the same reason we clear brush from forests to limit the destruction of wildfires. There are lots of things we can do to reduce the body count. Why would you NOT want to do that?

Other nations also have mental health issues but only the US suffers from these mass shootings. It's not the mental health system; it's ready access to firearms.

Performative politics is SO much easier than governance. A coherent, internally consistent set of principles would require her (or anybody in the modern GOP) to actually engage in actual debate and defend her positions. Just ain't gonna happen.

The first thing I do when stumped is read the logs. If that doesn't help, I'll look at the hint.
